A few nice things from my daughter - nice socks, leather belt, bluetooth speaker.

My Mrs is going to pick me up a nice gadget of my choice in the sales. She wanted me to choose something in December but I like a bargain and wanted to wait for the sales....plus I didn't know what I wanted then.

Sad that you go reporting posts ya pussy...

I had asked for peace on Earth for all people. Apparently, I didn't get it

    Wireless headphones.
Some 'lounge pants' because I had nothing to wear in my lounge.
    Some other bits and pieces.

In keeping with things, my lounge pants cost one MILLION dollars.

Edit: I'm terrible to buy anything for. "What would you like?"
    "Sure whatever. Nothing much".

Ugh, incredibly tacky to be so consumed with the price of the gift. Surely if it has personal value to you, that's more important than the price paid?

I received lots of small personal meaningful gifts, homemade in some cases - the best kind. :) Probably worth very little in monetary terms, but to be honest I'm a grown adult, anything expensive I want/need I buy for myself.

My best gift this year by far was from a Reddit secret santa. I joined it as it's been a miserable old year and I felt like I wanted a surprise and none would be forthcoming, I wanted the fun of buying something for someone else too. I expected I'd enjoy that part but that I'd get rubbish myself. Instead I got a great , very "me" gift.

Someone out there knows me, but I don't know them!

Santa has let me down. Asked for a car as am now island and housebound.

Two delightful and unexpected gifts from boardsies...

AND a totally unexpected big box of Milk Tray from our island Co-op!

All is fine... It really is

My family just do small presents for the adults now. Something sentimental or something you need. I got some perfume, runners and from my parents, a new jacket because they bought me a nice one for my birthday but my dog ate it.

I bought myself a pair of dungarees and a few other clothes just before Christmas. Ive wanted dungarees for ages so I'm super happy about that. :)

bruce on broadway cd and a bottle of writers tears whiskey from noble locks. hand made crafty stuff from my younger kids and my eldest truly surprised us with a voucher for a nice restaurant.

got a top and a shirt that i neither like nor fit me from my in-law kriskindle. despite my wife telling him not to get me clothes, he still went off and spent his hard earned money on stuff i won't (can't!) wear. he also got me a book that i already have.

getting kriskindle from my own family on sunday. it will be interesting if nothing else...

My fav present this year was from the person who knows me best who bought pretty much every single thing I love. My favorite earrings, fleecy comfy pjs, a Minnie Mouse phone case, Minnie Mouse slippers etc etc. every single thing that was bought for me was bought because they knew I’d love it. Loved it so much more than something really expensive but a stab in the dark and hope that id like and use it

I got three polo shirts. One regular fit, two slim fit.

    I’m fat.

So I got a polo shirt.

    Hah, I know that trauma!

In shop: "Oh thats a nice polo, nice and slim at the waist with small short sleeves. I'll look very hunky altogether"

At home in front of the mirror: "Ok, that one's for the 'when I loose a stone' pile"
