    I'm not an expert on this but I imagine a defender's expected goals barring extreme circumstances would always be very very low?

    Not happy, but show a bit of respect for the managers decision. The fact that it's being discussed shows that it's not normal.

    Yeah normally seeing as they don't tend to get in goalscoring positions as often as other positions.

    Just had a quick look. Looks like Doherty is the defender with highest XG of 3.22 this season, and lo and behold he has 3 goals off that.....

    His attempts today, he had two shots on goal from outside the box.

    It's basically saying that those shots go in 1 in every 20 attempts and 2 of them went in today.

    I didn't see his goals so I've no idea if they were decent opportunities or not.

    67 with Snodgrass and Fabianski to play. Going Eriksen then Kane for my Spurs coverage is an absolute killer, should've just gone Son. Will have to get Salah back in as he looks like last season's Mo but will probably save a transfer this gameweek and do it in GW21 for Sterling.

    The 50th minute opportunity isn't down as a shot on target or save. Don't remember it myself.

    The 3rd save was an off target shot. There is precedent for those counting.
