Probably a silly question but when does someone need to register for VAT. I’m a sole trader providing an engineering service, is there a cut-off for having to register for VAT?
    Thanks

This will probably sound daft but I’m working as a contractor where I’ll have to register for VAT. I’m also farming. Can the two be spilt? I.e. can I register for VAT as a contractor while at the same time not be VAT register for the farming element?

    Thanks!

37500 is the limit for contracting and depending on the activities and equipment etc it is possible that the farm could be brought into the net...
