    Hi
My commercial Ford kuga, every 6 months or so, tells me to change the oil. I'd always get it done, but the Ford garage always kick into sales mode and it's getting annoying.

It's due it's DOE next month, would it fail if there is a message on the dash to change oil?

I'd like to get the DOE to determine anything else that needs to be done before I go for full service or whatever.

No, won't fail. The light comes on either as a result of you reaching x miles or as a result of a period of time passing which is probably a year since last reset, it doesn't measure anything with the engine.

Should be possible to reset it yourself...
