    According to this RTE news item, the government plan on buying land in Dublin Port to facilitate truck parking, in the event of a "hard" Brexit. The only available land that I can see down there is the old Irish Glass Bottle Company site.
    So, is it possible that it could be developed into a truck park, instead of housing?

    They've been planning to move the non essential stuff up to Dublin airport for a while. I assume its probably where some of the fuel storage tanks are. They can be knocked pretty quick. Plop a few prefabs down and paint some lanes and you've got a fudge until something more permanent is built.

    The Airport pipeline would probably increase the need for fuel storage at the port, not decrease it.

    There is the old Rathborne site - low density warehousing and car storage - as the first obvious one. Readymix site on East Wall Road. Wouldn't touch the remaining Irish Rail freight yards initially in case we need them but they are grossly underused and could be rationalised
