Because Tumblr consider one porn and the other not.

Nudes are not porn. Why should freedom of artistic expression be only permitted to transgender people?

but why do you even care?

Because if young people are going to see naked bodies then they should be able to access the full range of human beings rather than one tiny segment that requires severe medical intervention to present as it does. It would be better for their development in every way to see regular and lovely human bodies proportionately as they occur within the species, which would meann they would see biological sex nudes far far more often than nudes with phalloplasties and mastectomies. Anything else is ideological indoctrination and I have an investment in the lineage.

uhh ok whats that got to do with tumblr? Theres resource on the net for that kind of a **** and if tumblr doesnt wanna be one, then who actually cares its within their right lol

your premise relies on false dichotomy:

EITHER TUMBLR DOES IT OR IT ISNT DONE AT ALL

    when it reality:

Tumblr doesnt do it. Meh, theres a ****ton other sources

By that logic I should shrug if Pinterest do it next, and then Youtube, and then...who knows...the Silicon Valley borg-mind might decide Google should only permit transgender nudes and all biological sex nudes are verboten.

It's about the underlying ideology (mate).

Tumblr is a reasonably long-standing blog site with a big user base. It's not some outlier.

how is any of this artistic freedom?

That will NOT include female nipples in general, unless they are actively involved in breast-feeding or medical examination, nor the healthy genitalia of biological men or women, but the new terms and conditions will permit images (and presumably gifs and videos) of the results of gender confirmation surgery, including nipples, pre- and post-operative I suppose because otherwise how can one make a display of such things, and I presume the results of a phalloplasty. The whole phalloplasty display has been quite a significant niche on Tumblr.

You do realise that there is no shortage of nakedness available on the internet?

Simple question - why allow trans nudes and not biological sex nudes?

I cannot even get how anyone would not find that weird.

SO let me get this straight, you're mad because a site that was intended for 15 year old bloggers now want to remove nudity. Meanwhile dozens of medical sites address the exact same issue.

You ever feel like you're just looking or a reason to get mad? A reason to go on a pointless crusade?

It has nothing to do with offence and everything to do with people that hate who they are and just want to change the world so at least before they die they can look back and say to themselves "I did that..." meanwhile the rest of us just get on with our lives and put up with these stupid vanity campaigns when they pop up and wonder what the next one will be.

You just have to have belief in the process. The youth will always rebel against the establishment. If the teachers, politicians, media are telling them how to think, guess what? They're gonna do the opposite.

Heard of this a few days ago on the radio. There were lots of descriptions of the attacker in an attempt to identify movements. Short hair, beard, height, wearing a short sleeve t-shirt.

    Forgetting something???

Reminds me of when a kid went missing in Blanchardstown a couple of years ago. . Tons of descriptions, height, age, clothes, runners. They were afraid to mention that he was black. He was found, but it would have been a tad bit helpful.

For a country that isn't very "diverse". It would really help narrow it down

    "Sallow" skin?

What about describing this suspect’s accent. If he had, eg, a strong Dublin accent, this would be said. Why not mention his accent? It would narrow him down maybe to one country or region, be it Ireland, England, Pakistan/India etc. it’s ansolutely absurd that some description of his accent wasn’t made. I guess they don’t want women to be scared of taking a taxi driven by a non-Irish person, but as things stand women are kind of supposed to be wary of all taxi drivers with a beard and moustache (very popular these days among men in general) who might have just come back from holidays in the Canaries. The thing is the suspect can now shave himself clean, and all we are left with is sallow and dark hair, which would have described my fully ethnically Irish late father. If I committed a crime in, eg, England, I would expect the police to issue a description of me as having an Irish accent, as it would somehow narrow down the list of suspects.

An Evo fit has been released of the taxi-attacker on Sun 9th Dec, maybe to prevent all the PC correctness and actually find the culprit.

I wonder did they mix up the meaning of sallow with swarthy?

What about describing this suspect’s accent. If he had, eg, a strong Dublin accent, this would be said. Why not mention his accent?
Because outside of a few core accents, most people wouldn't have a clue what a "Pakistani" accent is versus a "Persian" one. Or a "Japanese" accent versus a "Chinese" one.

The majority of people in Ireland would recognise Dublin, Cork, Kerry, "Nordie", "British", Scottish, French, "American", "Russian" and German. Outside of that it starts getting fluffy.

    What difference does it make? The wrong information makes it less likely you'll catch him. People will make up their own minds about ambiguous descriptors. Remember the Simpsons;
"Be on the lookout for a 1936 maroon Stutz Bearcat!"
"Ehh, that was really more of a burgundy."

For example, imagine they said he had an Indian accent. You work in a coffee shop, and a guy comes in every day who is a dead ringer for this picture. But you know he's from Iran. So it can't be him, because he's not Indian.

Likewise, the amount of people on this thread remarking, "Why won't they say he's black!?"

Because he's not. If you say he's black, then I immediately picture a guy of African origin. A guy with dark, dark skin. Not this guy, who is "tanned", from my point of view. If they said "He's black", then that's less helpful than saying nothing.

Descriptions of individuals need to be as unambiguous as possible. He may not have talked at all, or the victim may not have been able to place his accent. So taking a stab at it is less helpful than saying nothing about it.

The (original) description also didn't mention glasses. Is this because they don't want to offend the short-sighted? No, it's because, "wears glasses" may mean a lot of things to a lot of people. The Evofit is a million times more useful than ambiguous descriptions.

    :D:D
Regional variations. "Sallow" has always been used in Ireland to refer to skin which is closer to a Spanish complexion (not dark dark, but not pasty white either), as opposed to the typical meaning which is "sickly yellow".
Likewise I've only ever heard Irish people use "swarthy" to describe a man's attitude more than his appearance. A swarthy man is well-dressed, silver-tongued and out to seduce women.

I agree, if someone was to say "black" i would also think someone from somewhere in Africa in terms of complexion. If you couple this with an accent, say french, it would narrow it down even further. Skin colour is an important description of someone, it's madness that someone wouldn't use it when trying to describe an attacker but it needs to be accurate.

In this case, tanned is a perfect fit. He could be from the Middle East, Turkey, North Africa, Spain, Italy and so on but it's still relevant.

You think it's bad today.... back in the 1970's we had the conversion from pounds shilling and pence, to decimal, imperial measurement to metric, as well as the gradual emergence of gender equality and political correctness.

As a result, a mate in school called Myles Merriman, had his name changed to Kilometers Happyperson as a joke - and it stuck. For many years he was known as 'Kilometers' by those of us who grew up through the changes.

    True story.

I still think that regarding this man, a broad description of both accent and appearance was necessary from the outset if it was available, depending on the observations of the victim. Eg. “A man of dark middle-east, mid-Asian or North African type complexion & appearance appearance with a foreign accent” would have at least narrowed it down from a man of similar description who was raised in Ireland, Britain, USA etc, and with that description of appearance most ethnically Black, East-Asian, or Celtic people would have been straightaway eliminated. If I were to take a taxi ride from a “foreign accented” man of this description, when in fact the culprit had given the description of a having an English accent, I would immediately know this is not the man in question, Etc.

This PC nonsense will not end until the perpetually offended develop some common sense and understand what words like offensive and sexist actually mean.

Because it’s clear from the last few campaigns against so called offensive or sexist things like Santa being male and tissues being called mansize they haven’t the first clue.

Metoo also has a lot to answer for in terms of its demonizing of men.
