I’m writing my Christmas cards and wrapping my presents tonight. I’ve a big roaring fire on and I’m half watching an old B&W movie. I couldn’t be happier :)

With all my vouchers saved all year and the girl on the till telling me to grab a few Mirrors for the vouchers in them, I got almost €200 Christmas shopping for €70. The closest I have come to wetting myself with excitement in a long time:)

    I feel epic today!!

I rescue woodlouse/louses/lice from the firewood and set them free on the floor. It drives the cat nuts.

If that's the wages for being naughty, bring it on!
    🎅 🌨. 😈

It's a nice feeling to know the fuel, between oil and coal, is sorted for the next couple of months no matter what the weather throws at us.

I can't help it. My boss/crush is crushing on me so bad. I know it's wrong but it feel so right. He cheered me up after the sh*tshow that should have been lunch.

More grateful than happy. My mum's car failed the NCT so she brought it to the mechanic. When he was driving it, the brakes failed and he crashed into someone's garden. No one was hurt and no damage done. I'm so glad she doesn't have work this week because if they had failed on her commute it could have been so much worse.

Some God has invented a chat to Daidí na Nollag app! The not-even-two-year-old wanted me to read him yet another story and he in the cliabhán tonight. I took out my phone and rang Santa and had a big chat with him. Himself got a bit worried and pretended to fall asleep, and then "woke up" giggling for another story.

Out with a Google search and, yes, it quickly transpires there's an app where Santa appears on video to tell the rogueens to get to bed or else! Brilliant. It got even better. You can put the toddler's name in, and its phonetic spelling in the 'Pronunciation' box, and then give the reason you want Santa to make a video for him - e.g. won't go to sleep. Now, the personalised name & reason came at a fee so I didn't do them but I got a great, clear video of Santa and his head elf next to him warning the little gasúr that he has to go to sleep now or else. Within 3 minutes of watching Santa speak to him through the cot bars the worried little leanbh was ina chodladh. Genius!

    Message from Santa app
