I'll give Ken today on the Jose front, but hopefully he can stop talking about him now.

It might be boring for you but it’s like brexit or trump it’s a moving story. You should let this level of mourinho chat go...Utd v Liverpool was one of the biggest matches in sport and the biggest game in club football. About 700 m people watch it (200 m more than the Classico). Utd were humiliated and Jose was at war with the board and players. The two teams cover the fast majority of Irish fans. If they have 10k subscribers the lads probably had hundreds if not a couple of thousand Monday listeners specifically tuning in for Ken’s take on it and they’ll have people signing up to hear him today.

I fking doubt it very much.
There's absolutely nothing "new" to be discussed. Everything that can be said about Mourinho has been said, even the discussions around who is to replace him has already been had. Idle and mindless speculation.

So long as the conversation is hilariously funny, I don't mind too much but the actual content has been rehashed from the past few months.

It would be great if he came back off the smokes today.

Breaking News pod just released. Can't use spoiler tags on the pod's topic but.....

    .....it relates to Jose Mourinho.

**inserts dramatic Dun Dun Duuun music for effect**

Relax. They put out a tweet this morning “who wants a bonus you know what” with a pic of mourinho and they got about 500 likes in 4 hours. I would bet people signed up but who knows if they did, the point is the mob doesn’t agree with you.

So the manager of one of the biggest clubs in the world is fired and you don't want them to do a podcast on it because they've talked about him lots before? Right....

    Look, I get it.
It's big news - people like to hear people talking about a multimillionaire football manager get the boot from a business that makes a fortune out of these types of people talking about these types of situations.
But what exactly can be said about the situation that hasn't been said countless times before?
    It gets a but mundane.

You implied it unless it is "hilariously funny".

Sorry, the implication was that I'd listen but not be happy unless it was hilarously funny, as I've heard a lot on this over the past few months.
By all accounts - go ahead, generate some more content.

Surprised to see nobody mention The Cranberries/Limerick all Ireland Jingle. That one is genuinely emotional, and I'm not even from Limerick!

I actually like it but wouldn't vote for it in a million years as it has the "the greatest sport ever!" schtick going on.

The bike one is way too long and repetitive for me. Hippie crack for me.

I haven't listened to it but by the sounds of what other people said on here, it's not that something controversial happened during it, it's just an awful interview.

On that note what books would people like to see on it?

    Open by Andre Agassi
Back from the Brink by Paul McGrath
Rough Ride by Paul Kimmage (Haven't read it myself mind you but it is highly regarded)
    The Club by Christy O'Connor

Haven't read the agassi book but the other 3 are great, you'd nearly pack in drink after reading Paul McGraths book.
Sea buscuit and the Tyler Hamilton book would be two more I really enjoyed.

When they asked for book club recommendations I actually emailed them suggesting the Paul McGrath book. That is an intense read.
