17 games into the league season and our goal difference is ****in zero. Take a look at the bottom 7 teams in this league and we still are almost at halfway with a goal difference of zero.

On today's game it went as the majority of us knew it would. Sure deep down we held out hope that we could do something but take a step back and look at the current state of both clubs and it was no surprise Utd were 5/1 for the win.

I know Lukaku is low on confidence etc but what has happened his Football intelligence? There was a few times where it was obvious the ball was going to be played into him and the camera would pan to vvd or lovren intercepting it woth lukaku on his heels 3 yards behind.

The general sense of almost never ending apathy is the worst thing....

    Can they speak English?

I assumed Mourinho had a few years left on his contract, but apparenty it's only until 2020. Sacking him wouldn't cost a fortune

Blanc does anyways I'm sure l, not sure about Jardim but he speaks french and Spanish I think anyways which is what most of our players speak these days :D

Can't imagine Phil Jones being much of a linguist :pac:

Hopefully he won't be listening to the team talks

    [Olympic Straw Clutching]

Given that Jose's contract extension was signed in January, I wonder if the club are waiting until a year of that deal expires before they terminate his contract. I'm wondering if that would have an effect on the amount they would have to pay him. Like if a year is gone on that contract, that might save the club a few million in the cost of Jose's payoff.

    [/Olympic Straw Clutching]

If the board are waiting until the maths rule us out of Top 4 before they act, well that could take a while yet. Even the relegation-fighting teams won't be mathematically ruled out of Top 4 until there's 10-12 games remaining. As bad as we are, as hopeless as our Top 4 chances are looking, we won't be mathematically ruled out of Top 4 until maybe late February/early March or later.

So I hope to fúck that Woodward isn't waiting for that to happen.

Finally you are now seeing what some of us saw many months ago.

That’s actually not the case at all. My stance hasn’t changed for sometime. I felt this around the meltdown in October. I remember discussing it in the Chelsea forum with their fans and was resigned to him losing the plot and it only being a matter of time before he went.

I don’t necessarily want him sacked, I just don’t see how he can continue on when the team are not responding to his coaching. I’ve always felt this way, just don’t revel in his demise or think his failings are all his own making.

If you guys think our problems leave with Jose you are in for a big surprise. Football will improve but we won’t be challenging for anything decent anytime soon while the w*nkers running the club fail to have any meaningful strategy.

...and at this point we've now conceded more goals this season than in 38 league games last season.

Jose has even lost the keys to the bus by now.

At least pogba wasnt involved. Pathetic

Pogba wasn't involved because he's been pathetic when he's been involved.

so like most of the team?

I find Pogba is the escapegoat for all of utd's issues on the pitch. Don't get me wrong he's been brutal but so has most of the team tbh.

Lukaku has been worse than Pogba this season

36-6 attempts today. Pathetic performance, we didnt look the game at all. Absolute **** show, defensive setup expecting to catch them on the break but had no outlet. ****ing hoof ball to lukaku who cant do nothing with it, not his fault as its not his play style.
Should of brough Mata on way earlier.
No chance of top 4, dont wqnt europa as its a cancer to your league games.
Season a right off and so the Man United name the way the club is going

I dont think there has been one consistent performer this season.

Lukaku was never quick but he seems to have completely lost the yard he used to gain off the shoulder of the CB. He also gets pushed around very easily which doesn’t make much sense considering the muscle he has put on.

I’d be inclined to give him a chance under the next manager, what else would we do with him otherwise, we would be looking at half the 75 million we paid if we wanted to offload him.

I think the only players who can kind of hold their high is

    DeGea
    Shaw

You have other players like Martial who hare unreal talents but he's not firing in every game and that's probably because of his age and Jose....

It doesnt help when your hoofing the ball up to him and he zero support to play it to.
He's not having a great season but at least play to his strengths ffs, needs to be on the line beside the cb ready to go on the turn. Othewise he's an easy target to criticise

Honestly I'm left wondering how much do they actually have to pay Mourinho off to get rid. It's must be enormous money if the board hasn't acted yet.

There hasn’t been many players over the last 6 years, under any manager who has done remotely close to their peak on a consistent level. Zlatans first season was prob as close to we have gotten to that.

between 50-60million i think. When will the club learn with offering long big contracts.
Smalling got another 5 year contracy with us.
    Infuriating stuff

Edit: should add im absolutely spit balling with that pay off. thought i read it somewhere though

A year and a half's salary presumably. Not like he has a five year deal.

Although not condoning it, the comments under Smallings & United’s tweets yesterday re new Smalling contract really showed the frustration of fans. Great servant to the club, few big moments (goal vs City last year) but there is no way he’s a starting United player, squad player at best but no way he has done anything to deserve a 5 year contract

Not on twitter so didnt see the comments, were they bad?
I give him stick but he's done more in the united jersey than Jones or Rojo or are stealing a living from us. Still not a first choice CB for us imo

I'm on record the day we unfortunately signed Lukaku saying I was under whelmed with the signing as he was never a top drawer forward not would he ever be. I was slated on here just 6 months into Pogbas 2nd coming when I called Pogba a tosser.
Also on record the day we unfortunately appointed Mourinho saying it was a terrible shocking appointment, slated for that too.
    We live in hope though..

I think it's £12 million to terminate his contract. Remember reading it 2 months ago

Very. Here if you’re able to see them - https://mobile.twitter.com/ChrisSmalling/status/1074009061807525890

Lots of unwarranted comments from keyboard warriors but it was expected to get some negativity.

We've never played to lukaku's strengths. He does not get the service or support jesus, auba, morrata, wilson would get.
Pogba has been trash, so has the rest of the squad. There is no he's better than him, they've all been ****e!

I'm not trolling when I say Emile Heskey was as good as Lukaku is.

He is the worst starting centre forward we have had in my 20+ years of supporting Man Utd, by a country f*cking mile.

His touch, his movement, his game knowledge, his aerial ability are a disgrace and he isn't even fast anymore since he decided to become fat.

    A complete embarrassment.

As a neutral, he is no better.

Add to this , the fact that he appears about 2 stone heavier than he was last season. Not helping a man who wasn't mobile to begin with.
