If United want a world class midfielder they need to get the best out of Pogba.

Pogba has been played in front of the back 4, that didn't work, he was played in a midfield 2, that didn't work, he was played in a midfield 3 in his self proclaimed favourite position as the left sided midfielder with very little defensive responsibility to facilitate his ability to create, that didn't work. He was also given the captaincy, a clear show of faith by his manager, and that didn't work.

Mourinho is a done deal at this stage, it's only a matter of whether the board have the balls to sack him now or let the club rot for another few months when the season becomes a complete embarrassment, but he cannot be held to account for Pogbas lack of professionalism.

Pogba has been indulged in almost every conceivable way and he still acts like a petulant child, ambling around the pitch.

I hope he is bounced out the door along with Mourinho. He doesn't deserve to wear that jersey.

OK, we'll hold onto him until a new manager arrives to "get the best" out of him.
He can't complete simple five yard passes, who is to blame for that?

I don't know. But someone at united should surely be trying to figure out what Juve did that United aren't doing which facilitied/harnessed Pogba's obvious ability.

Either that or just decide he's ****e and throw money at a replacement of lesser ability without rectifying whatever it is at united that's causing players to perform so far below their potential

No ALL the talk isn’t about him.

If there was a way to ban any mention of him in here I would!

Juve play in much less competitive league in which the tempo of the game is completely different (slower) and he could get away with not being focused. I'm sure if he goes to Spain or back to Italy he'll look a different player. Man City are perhaps the only Premier league side that could afford to indulge Pogba, he isn't cut out for the English game plain and simple, and judging by his performance on Wednesday night against a frankly terrible Valencia side it's not a done deal that he's cut out for anything anymore.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again! Some of these bluffers at our club have seen off Moyes AND LVG and look like they’ll see of José now too. At what point do they need to look at them self and do the board need to see these characters aren’t upto it?

It’ll take 4 managers before the unconverted see the light unfortunately, we’ll probably be a long way down the path of no return at that point

Who cares what he deserves? It's about what you can get out of your asset, not appeasing a desire for moral justice.

Maybe the issue isn't his position? I don't know what goes on behind the scenes but there's obviously something wrong that could be rectified.

As you say, Mourinho's jackets on a shoddy peg. Surely it'd be best for United to keep hold of him and see if another manager can make him the player he was at Juve?

Pogba's far from the only player who seems to have regressed. That points to a process issue rather than an individual one

Ok. So sell him and buy a lesser talented replacement.

Who's to say the replacement won't go the way of Pogba, Sanchez, Matic, Lukaku, Mikyaterian (sp) et al and regress significantly?

Or maybe seek to identify/rectify the issue before throwing more good money after bad.

Nothing to do with moral justice. He is a poisonous influence on the players around him, particularly younger players. He obviously is a popular figure who carries sway in the dressing room, he wouldnt have been given the captaincy otherwise. If I was an incoming Utd manager I would not want to work with a player who conducts himself like Pogba does.

Right now, if you asked Jurgen Klopp would he swap 32 year old James Milner for 25 year old Paul Pogba he would most likely laugh at you. Effort and attitude come before everything else imo.

If a new Utd manager wanted to give Pogba a chance to show his worth then fair enough, but the slightest sniff of what we have seen this season in terms of his attitude, effort, professionalism and he should be fired out the door.

Lots of players are underperforming at Utd, and that buck stops at the managers door, but no player has shown the same levels of petulance, and lack of professionalism as Pogba. In my opinion that cant be tolerated at a club.

    5221 formation with

    De Gea

    Dalot-Darmian-Lindeloff-Smalling-Young

    Matic-Herrera

    Lingard-Rashford
    Lukaku

Could get overrun in midfield here

Lukaku starts so we are playing with 10 men

As predicted, 5 at the back.

Fck Mourinho, hope he gets fired tonight. Embarrassing coward.

Lingard will be part of a midfield three imo.

Glad I have to be elsewhere today, its going to be a bloodbath.

Will watch until we're 2-0 down, then it goes off.

Best team we could put out under the circumstances.

From my first reading of it I think it could be Lingard in the CAM role and Rashford playing beside Lukaku with two wingbacks.

Grow up this is way OTT.

Man united manager goes defensive at anfield, shock horror.

IT's like it's never happened before.

Yeah probably will be a three

Or the two of them will become extra wingbacks.

I feel bad for Herrera today, has to play against a midfield 3 that has plenty of running in it and he is suppose to do the work of Matic aswell.

Mata isn't, Pogba isn't, Bailly isn't. There are worse players in all of their positions.
