Just looked at our record against United under Klopp and it's not good viewing! :o

    Played - 9
    Won - 1 (Europa League)
    Lost - 4
    Drew - 4

Yeah he is. And Kent too

Ejaria's an interesting one... a lovely cultured midfielder, Sunderland and Scotland in general on the surface don't look like good moves for him. But I wonder if it's a bit of the "playing a defender in midfield to improve their ball playing" type of process, where the club are actively putting him in fairly rough situations to beat some of the 'Arsenal kid' out of him, and beat some steel into him.

I'd take him back and loan him to a premiership team if possible for the second half of the season

Apart from a spell under Ged (Danny Murphy screamers) Liverpool have been consistently crap v Utd.

Whatever about our current form vs United, we are currently top of the table with no games lost out of 15 and 6 goals conceded. Bring on United.

Danny Murphy got a few beauties against them alright.

Shaqiri scored against ManU in pre-season, anyone remember that one? Has to start on Sunday

Said it weeks ago to a friend and think I said it here as well that I expected us to stay unbeaten until this game. Jose loves ruining my life. And everyone elses, for that matter. Although it's at Anfield so I'm a bit more hopeful.

Utd are awful I'd be very disappointed to not take all 3 points, a draw will feel like a win to them and will feel like a loss to us

Well we haven't dropped a single point to anyone lower than fifth so we should be fine. Been handling the mid-table fodder so far.

Said it before the Everton game and it applies to this game as well but if we played the game and approached it as another game against a mid table team we’d stroll to a win. But unfortunately it’s hard to separate the actual game from the occasion and all the Liverpool/united sh!te that surrounds it.

It’ll be interesting to see how they approach it, it’s their cup final and they’ll be up for it but Mourinho will know that costing us ground on City will be a victory for their fans so might go with a Mourinho 10 men camped in the box special.

Yep. I'd say that's exactly what will happen.

And just to make it even better, Roy keane is joining sky as a pundit and his first game is Sunday

Did I hear himself and Souness will be in the studio together...…. and Carragher? The Sky crisis meeting after will focus on who the hell thought that was a good idea?

Tyler/Neville commentary team makes me happy I don't have Sky.

I’ll always cherish the picture of Scholes crying after we beat them in the Europa League, but the thought of seeing Roy Keane foaming at the mouth on Sunday makes me want to beat that lot more than anything. :)

Well if the match goes the Jose way in terms of entertainment at least we'll have the post match analysis to talk about.

Over/Under on the time passed before United time waste, 90 seconds?
First goal kick, throw in, free or corner they get will be deliberated on for a good 45 seconds until the ref tells them to move it.

You're such a show off Knex but a little step by step guide on how to do that kind of wizardry would go down a treat to some posters on here.

    Just saying.

Klopp has huge issues for Sunday - Gomez out, Trent carrying?, Lovren/Virg only fit centre halves. But the main thing is getting those players UP for a game of this stature within 5 days of the Napoli game. It's hard to play that sort of mentally draining game and to re-produce.

For anyone saying they'll be dissapointed if we don't take 3 points - i guarantee that United will be ready for this one. They literally have nothing to play for other than this game this side of xmas - to stop an unbeaten run - to peg us back towards City, bragging rights - we have it all to lose and they know that. Jose will play it like he did when he brought Chelsea to Anfield last and he'll not care one bit once they take points off us.

We need to be mentally strong if anything, it's important we do not panic when scoreless - which in fairness we have been this season - but this type of game makes players edgy. Its games like these you need leaders - Hendo/Virg need to grab this team by the scruff and get the best out of them. We are better than them in every department. Need to be patient and show why we are where we are.

I'm hoping for a workmanlike performance, few moments of brilliance from our front 3 and in particular Mane who owes us a goal after midweek. Lets be brave and show like City did how to deal with them.

    Looking forward to it.

Probably Millie right back so, with Hendo, Gini, and Keita in CM. The rest of the team picks itself.

I was listening to the Totally Football Show podcast this morning and they made the point that Liverpool have scored more goals against Alisson in 2018 than the rest of the Premier League combined.

I feel Keita 7 Dejan will come in for this but I wonder will Klopp think about also bringing in Fabhino and Shaq to freshen things up .
We could be a bit flat after Tuesday, Milner & Gini where dead on there feet ,
