plug replacement (euro pins?)

This feels like a really obvious question, but chadwicks and woodies weren't able to help me. I stepped on the plug for my drill, breaking one of the pins. When I looked closer I realised that the plug was a kind of shell (fused) with a euro style plug in it. (see attachment for what I have left). My first instinct was…

This feels like a really obvious question, but chadwicks and woodies weren't able to help me.

I stepped on the plug for my drill, breaking one of the pins. When I looked closer I realised that the plug was a kind of shell (fused) with a euro style plug in it. (see attachment for what I have left).

My first instinct was that the shell would be an easy replacement. Now I'm wondering about rewiring this in to a three pin plug. Any thoughts?

Just cut the Schuko plug off and stick a 3 pin 13A (check that's what was in the broken clam adapter) BS fused plug on the end.

Thanks. It was 5A, but otherwise that's the direction I was pointed in

Use a 13A plug top and fit a 5A fuse in place of 13A one.
