No chance of them getting in. The presidential election is a good barometer of the mood of the nation. They got a serious kick up the hole. They usually take about 15% of the poll at elections easily. Ni Riada got nowhere near 15%. Couples going out to work and paying tax at 50% as well as mortgages and childcare are sick of seeing free loaders pay nothing in return for an easy ride. The perception is that SF and Labour support this model. They’ll be lucky to keep their existing seats.

I used to be a member of the local SF cumann, voted every election etc.

Once you've been called "the f**king 1%" after mentioning you pay the higher tax rate your support fades real fast.

You’re name isn’t Peadar by any chanceðŸ˜€? Taxing the rich means taxing those earning north of 35k to pay for, well, everybody else who doesn’t. It’s a vote winner when a country is on its arse with 15% unemployment but not now. The likes Cash would vote for this all life long.

Lol no just a normal commuting, working stiff.

Told the dude I'd worked 30 years near to get that salary and had 22 hours near commute per week and little life.

I could have tried to educate him but I preferred to point out I grew up in a council house with cockroaches, say he was scared of hard work and call him a c**t.

What do you suggest a shop owner do when someone steals €300 worth of merchandise? Not press charges because [rabble, rabble, rabble, bankers, politicians, billions]?

Cash is receiving an income equivalent to what an €80k worker takes home after tax, and has no housing or child care expenses. She can well afford to clothe her children without resorting to shoplifting.

They've known from day 1 what she's at. They couldn't care less, or more likely are advocates of what she's doing.

People like Cash, Tubridy, Varadkar (folks please don't vote for Mr Casey), Martin Collins, Miriam O Callaghan etc have played no small part in waking people up to this scam.

It is the last bit I picked up on a direct quote from Margaret Cash in the Mirror Newspaper:

I forgot another thing about that Margaret Cash where she really tripped herself up when it was been styled as Homeless mother.

Before the less savory aspects of her character came to light - some argued she even 'defeated her ctitics'.

But there is a key quote her from the Miriam O'Callaghan Interview:

“I never said I was poor. I said I was homeless. I get benefits the same as everyone else. I just haven’t got enough to get a home.”

So she is not poor she has enough for her kids from the benefits - which I assume she thinks mysteriously land on the steps of the Dáil from nowhere?
But then this woman who admitted not to be poor was found out to be stealing she had a great reply.

A grateful person would be delighted to have a roof over thier head. She claims with 9 people it is would not be big enough. I am not so sure.... 3/4 people in a room bunk-beds sleeping bags? She could make do.
