The difference with your examples is that the tailgater wants to benefit directly from what the OP paid personally and individually.

    How?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,547 ✭✭✭Fiery mutant

Because he is using the OP’s payment to exit the car park.

We should defend our way of life to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed, so that any adversary will never make such an attempt in the future.

    How?

Well, for one, it's blatantly obvious that the freeloader is freeloading, and freeloading off the back of the OP's money and on a consistent basis.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,658 ✭✭✭BoardsMember

409 thanks for OP and counting, delighted to see it. Good man OP.

And that's different to the sweet eater / football streamer / fare dodger how exactly?

How much did your little outburst save you OP?

    Fair ****s op.

OP is a f&%#@ng hero. You can't beat challenging these dregs of society who think the rules don't apply to them. If you ask me, it's the same scumbag category of scrote that litters, parks in disabled spots or in parent parking when they've no kids with them, etc. etc.

You have to be careful putting it up to these people though, as some are proper scum and might think nothing of decking you.

I have had some small victories though, like the fat f%€k who pulled into the last parent space in Tesco with no kids, and I had 3 of them screaming and a small baby. These spots are invaluable to parents as they allow you to get all the kids out more safely without having to negotiate the car park. Anyway, after I challenged him, he just sulked incredulously and moved off.

I would love to have seen the face on this guy when the OP challenged him. But then the gall of the pr%€k to try and justify his actions. And bringing race into it? WTF?

Well done OP. Shame on those here condoning the behaviour as some sort of 1 up against "the man".

I never said it was OK. I said I didn't care. It's not my car park, I don't work my knickers up into a scrotum strangling indignant bunch over these things.

Does the OP go banging on his neighbours window telling them to turn Mobdro off and give poor Rupert Murdoch his few bob? Does he perform citizens arrests on luas fare dodgers? Sneaky pick and mix munchers? Where do you draw the line?

If it's wrong to rob ParkCorp, it's equally wrong to rob Sky, Transdev or Tesco.

Personally - I couldn't give a rats arse about any off them, and furthermore I think anyone who does gets themselves all worked up and stressed about such things is an absolute cockwomble.

I see you're selectively answering again. Should your neighbours take a "not my problem" approach if someone is breaking in to your car or house?

If people are putting stuff in your bags when you've paid for your stuff in tesco then coming up to you outside to get their free stuff, are you ok with that?

The op wouldn't have done anything if the guy hadn't involved himself with the op. Tailgating someone is involving yourself with them and creating a very real chance of causing them damage so if they react then that's on you.

You're probably a great man for a rant about politicians being "pigs at the trough" and other ****. So many people on here whinge and moan about them but turn a blind eye or encourage the rest of the population to do similar, albeit on a smaller scale individually. Hypocrisy.

If everyone is out for themselves and trying to scam the whole time, society doesn't work.

You are completely missing the point. People who do what you stated above are partially responsible for the price of Sky TV, Car parking etc. going up and up all the time to cover the costs.
Who is affected by the prices going up......... It's the people who actually pay for the services. Therefore I think we should all "give a rats arse" about these scroungers and do something about it.
I note that you are getting yourself all worked up about the whole situation, does this mean you are "an absolute cockwomble". Whatever the hell that even is.

I'm sure Sbs would be delighted to find out there was fraud taking place in his work. I'd encourage it though, doesn't bother me or mine.

A protruding bike carrier on the back of the car would prevent him closing the sensor gap in future.

I saw this in Germany, some guy in a Dutch Reg Volvo D5 tailgates a car out.

Guy in front stopped just after the barrier and walked back, looked at the guys car and the barrier, didn't say anything, had a small mirror, put it up to sensor on the where the arm is and it closed in front of the guys bonnet.

Got into his car and drove off.

Dutch guy was then stuck with 2 cars behind him beeping at him. :pac:

I think i ll be spending next weekend in parking garages doing exactly that.

Might cost a few euro in parking fees but entertainment costs money after all.

So you knock on the neighbours window do you when the football is on, make sure there's no illegal streaming on your watch?

Point out how their unscrupulous behaviour is costing you money in the long run?

I'm guessing you don't because it would be a fairly stupid row to pick with your neighbour. In fact would be just about as stupid as the one the OP picked over some mystery companies 4 quid.

I note that you are getting yourself all worked up about the whole situation, does this mean you are "an absolute cockwomble". Whatever the hell that even is.

    I've been called worse:D

I'm not worked up, I just think it's a bit sad for a grown man to be acting like some car park charge vigilante.

I'm not condoning the guy stealing it, I'm just saying that people must have very little going on in their lives to think shít like that is actually important.

I watched the video with sound last night, I certainly would not have tolerated that level of aggression, imo the OP is as bad as the driver for how it was handled

You would not need to if you just backed off instead of still trying to follow me when I clearly said no.

I was not rude to him until he told me to F off and my mind my business after which I told him.

Anyways a small update. He left me his ticket yesterday under my wiper to let me know he got out for free.

I don't care. If somebody else lets him out I'm fine, but I won't.

You started off aggressive, it's clear to hear. I'd have sat behind you and just called the Guards. I agree the guy behind is a chancer but acting the Paul Blart makes it two clowns in a carpark.

I think society would be much better off if people called out others on 'shabby' behaviour.

    Fair play to the OP.

    Hahaha.

Delighted he got out anyway and let you know how pointless your expletive full tirade was. Good on him.

Fair play OP. People saying you went over the top with the aggression, but here we have a pretty clear case of the adrenalin pumping, fight or flight type emotions playing out, that's all.

There's a fairly easy way for the Car Park to solve this. They just need to implement a double barrier system. Have a maximum vehicle length specified which is just over 1 standard car parking space long, you go through the first barrier, and only when the first barrier is down will the second barrier lift to let you out. Some pisstaker tries to tailgate, then neither of you are going anywhere until he backs off. Simples.

I'd have been very happy if you called the guards and even got the security involved. Go for it. How are you going to explain what is going on exactly?

Fight or flight. Jesus christ. He was getting himself in a tizzy over a 4euro parking ticket, not staring down a male lion on the African savannah.

Sorry, I only have 3 devices allowed logged in at a time and my neighbour and nephew are using the other two.

In the situation he was in, the tailgater could have got out of the car and punched the head off him, hit him with a tyre iron, or pulled a knife and stabbed him. Y'never know.

Anyway, seeing you get as worked up as the OP over the same incident is great for us all, keep it up.

80 euro a month. Like I said. Please prove your stance and share your Netflix and Spotify account with me so I can watch it at your expense. It's only 15 euro, should be nothing for you.

    I'm waiting for your PM.

LOL! Excuses. Register a new account just for me. It'll be our bonding account :D maybe I'll see how great it is to freeload from others and start doing it too.
