Not my monkey. Not my circus.

I wouldn't waste my energy getting upset about these people. What good is it going to do you.

The owners of the car park are well aware what's going on. It's up to them to protect their revenue.

I hate to point it out but surely he pulled away from the barrier and just waited for someone else to pull and tailgated them?

You are dead right though OP would be great if all others followed your lead

In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get to tailgate out of car parks - Tony Montana 2018

get a rear camera setup in the car so we can see and you can use it to report the driver

Just be wary that if he parks there regularly that he may come looking for your car to damage it.

Fair play OP, f*ck that lad. The absolute cheek of him, and by the sounds of it others who do the same. What absolute dickheads.

    Fair play OP, F*ck him

It's stressfull enough to get involved in such a row once but an ongoing thing would take its toll.

Fair play op. He'll think twice about doing it again anyway.

Yup. That lad obviously has no morals, I wouldn't think he would have any problem keying your car.

Report him/them to the main office in the car park
They will be eager to get their money from these cheapskates

    Well done Cyber, bravo...

Next time you should get out of the car with a massive machine gune and scream:

"SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND YOU MADDDDERFAACKKERRR!!!"

Fair Play OP.. you handled the situation well.

What I find more cheeky than trying to follow you out was the fact that he was trying to argue with you.

I mean I would probably try to tailgate you myself but if I was called-out like that, I would put my hands up and admit defeat as I'd clearly have no leg to stand on. :p

    Be careful doing this
The new GDPR rules state you have to inform him that you are posting it to shame him, otherwise he WILL bring a claim against the OP

That guys attitude was unreal - hes probably saving another few quid by not taxing his car.

I sure hope you're not being serious, otherwise you need to brush up your knowledge regarding GDPR

Conor Faughnan from AA was on the radio last week regarding this exact problem, and that was what he said

Get a rear dash camera and put up a youtube channel to shame these clowns. When you get enough videos email RTE or whoever and see if they want to include the clips on something that they might be doing in the future.
