Rolex Datejust 28

It would be really helpful if you could clarify what you like about the Rolex DJ 28mm is it:
1. the fluted bezel (the crinkled bit around the dial)?
2. the 28mm size?
3. automatic movement or is quartz okay?
4. cyclops on the dial (the magnifier over the date)?
5. all of the above?
6. none of the above?

Once you give more information (budget would be really helpful too) I think people would be able to provide examples.

For example - a Bulova Super Seville has almost exactly the same look as a Day/Date- but it's 36mm (an older men's size - though some people would consider that too small for a men's watch according to modern trends):

Okay we can definitely work with this info...
I might point out that it seems that not every Rolex Datejust has a fluted bezel - some have smooth bezels - it is a *lot* easier to find flat ones than fluted ones in my searches - I guess many brands shy away from fluted as people see it somewhat of a "Rolex" look I guess.

Nothing from Chrono24 seems to match your requirements exactly - there are 64 results so feel free to have a look to see if any alternatives pop up (no watch has a fluted bezel I believe):

My goodness - I completely forgot about Tudor! (If you didn't know Tudor is the sister brand of Rolex - in the past they used the same cases/bracelets as Rolex but cheaper movements to save on costs and offer a less expensive way to get Rolex housing quality)

If you want to get a cheapie quartz to tide you over and save a little bit - for €790 (and perhaps less if dealer is willing to negotiate) - you can get as close to Rolex as possible:

You can see that the watch uses a Rolex bracelet - it's actually signed by Rolex and a Rolex on the case back - for all intents and purposes it is a Rolex on the outside (with slightly cheaper movements inside).

I don't think you can get any closer to Rolex than buying a Tudor Oysterdate 28mm. It's not even "copying a Rolex" - Tudor is owned by Rolex and the vintage models used Rolex parts.

It'd be like buying a Seat/Skoda instead of a VW - many parts are the same with some interior differences.
