Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's hard to find anywhere that stocks that thin without being galvanised.
I use Miko metals in Cork and get them to deliver, they will cut to size too.

If its for panel repair work pick up and old door or bootlid and cut that up

Miko metals in cork are the best, ring them to order, pay over the phone and they will deliver it. You can get sheets 1000 x 500 which are a handy size.

I use them for rust repair work all the time.

Using new, clean, flat steel is a dream, compared to messing with old bits.

1mm BMS sheet in 1000 x 500 is around €8 plus vat and delivery, as far as I can remember. You could get it cheaper but you pay for your convivence

I bought some sheet from Heiton Steel, Naas Rd some time ago.

0.9mm was Zintec stuff, Got a regular uncoated sheet of 1.0 and 1.2.

was a bit of an chore transporting it as it was 1200 x 2400 or something like that.

Still tripping over most of it in my shed.

    How much do you need?

Thought they mightn't - don't think they do much in the way of sheet steel.

Me too, 2.4x1.2m, 0.8mm sheet. Rolled it up loose enough (about 400 - 500mm diameter) and and tied it up with ratchet straps.

    What size sheets??

I was in Heitons recently - they don't cut anything or keep any offcuts so it's all 2.4m x 1.2m or larger. If you can take away a full sheet or a full length, they will sell you anything though. I was after some aluminium, which was 100 cash for a sheet.

You'd really want AKdq steel sheet - more bendy and batterable n welds nicer - more like the stuff cars are made from

    Aluminium Killed
