Plain Takeaway Coffee Cup suppliers?

Hi guys just recently purchased a coffee trailer and looking to source a company/shop that supplies a plain coffee cup with no logo, and will give you the option to put your own sticker/label on it.

The compostable/recycling ones are too expensive too start off with.

Looking to buy in quantities of 500 approx per size 8oz and 12oz cups.

Based near sligo town.

Any feedback to great.

Whats your thoughts?

Would you not reconsider using compostable cups? The PR might be worth the extra cost and you could use it as a selling point. I don't know about Sligo but certainly here in Dublin it is becoming a factor for a lot of people - reusable cups are more commonplace (and people get a discount) and people are definitely becoming more conscious. If you target market is the young professional type, I would definitely consider it, and like I say use it as a selling point.

Op I have lived and worked in Dublin for many years. Yes it is becoming more commonplace for people to bring a cup with them but because few offer a discount on your coffee for doing so most, myself included, don’t bother. In London most place discount the coffee you buy by 10 to 20 pence which incentivises the habit.

Compostable cups for me would not be a selling point. I and I’m sure a lot of others couldn’t care less if it’s compostable or not. What’s in it for me though with a discount on my coffee makes me think.

To answer you’re original question EBay to large quantities of paper cups for cheapish prices. It think it worked out about 8 cent a cup the last time I looked if you buy like 500 at a time. Lots of sizes available.

Would a cash and carry not do them though for similar as you’ll be in the trade etc?

While compostable cups are a lovely idea they work out at about twice the price as regular plane white double walled cups. We use Vernon. They offer free delivery and with that you can order repetitively small quantities as needed rather then having to use up space storing them.
