Are there any implications for a person (HSE employee), if I want to leave them some money in my will
Are they allowed to receive it?
How does the tax situation work?

If that beneficiary was looking after the testator there may allegations of undue influence

I think you can leave 33K to a person tax free. Just not sure if its restricted to a relative.

For a beneficiary who is a remote relative or who is not related by blood (category C), the tax-free threshold is €16,250 from 10/10/2018.
