I read that Adenovirus is going around the U.K., no reason to think it can't jump the water.

I stay on the farm but my spouse is in town most days shopping and at the gym. She wears an N95 mask and doesn't get whatever is going around. I would like to highly recommend wearing the N95 with charcoal filter, they're inexpensive and not uncomfortable to wear, even during activities like the gym. Any cloth mask won't do for flu and virus.

Spent a lot of the week hollaring down the big white telephone.
Normally these bugs last 24 hours, this one hit me for three days. I am still not right.

yeah, got a flu like thing in February, lasted about 6 weeks. At the end of it woke one morning to vertigo, which STILL hasn't gone away. Hospital appointment next April - hahahaha.

On topic, yep mild tummy upsets in the house, stomach cramps etc. Happened this week. Dublin 5 area, OH works in town.

Our 2 year old was up all tuesday night and through wednesday throwing up. Then my wife was the same thursday night through friday morning and this morning 3am our son got sick. Havent been 100% myself either since yesterday. Does seem to be a 24 hour bug.

Young lad ended up in casualty last week with it, vomiting every 10 minutes. Horrible stuff. Rest of us got it but not as bad as he did.

Cork.. a lad in work was hospitalised there last Friday. Stomach cramps headache feeling weak. I saw him in work and he was sweating very badly! Taken him 4 days to feel a bit better.

If you're sick STAY AT HOME. Don't be a brave work martyr sharing your bug.

You've obviously never had the 'flu.

I've had it twice and I still wouldn't wear a mask in public.

Sounds like a few of you have had winter vomiting bug.

No vomiting for me; just flu-like pain in stomach and abdomen. Very sore!

    Godspeed good sir.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

I always doubt anyone who treats it as a sort of inconvenience. Maybe you've had it and understand it, but for the most part, people who say they've had the the flu without recoiling in horror, haven't had it.

The flu and broken collar bones.. Two things people dismiss until you go through either.

Furthermore, I consider that Carthage must be destroyed.

Perhaps you would both get the flu and simultaneously look like an idiot. What are the odds, eh?

In Japan face masks are common, as an act of politeness to avoid infecting others. I have them here but so rarely almost never out among folk. Taking my lack of working immune system seriously.

I'm sure you'll all be glad to know that I survived the night.
My three year old had it since Thursday and my wife has it now. A nasty one.
