How are the likes of John & Brian allowed to poison the airwaves? As long as they and their like are about, I'd fear for this country.

    Joe all cranky now

I'm missing it today...no access to a radio, miles from anywhere, but great phone reception unlike Clontarf. Enjoying all the comments and the oul' trip down memory lane with the 'Bingo' board.

    Keep 'er lit !

Produced by Yew Ormonde, who was heavily involved in "Callback" which just happens to be on this evening.

    Nice Ninja plug there, Joe.

That may be the case but it'll rage on for another week on Liveline.

    Doubt it Joe.

i will try to write a day in the life of a soldier in world war 1 i a troll as joe says and then write a piece which i think crayola joe wud write

    version 1:
I wake up to a deadened pain. Nothing matters anymore, not even surviving is important.
Perhaps maybe day to day i will make it, but it feels the lucky buggers were the ones that have now departed.
I can hear screams as men realise they will never see again, the slow wretched claw of having already forgotten a loved ones face.
I clear out the water from under my bed, although that is not an apt description.
Think more of a wet rag with rats walking over you all night.
You sleep, you sleep the sleep of the dead or the soon to be dead.
I pause and look over at the empty space, where John used be.
It used to sadden me but all i feel now is numb.
I wrote a letter back to Sarah last night telling her its all going well and we will be home soon.
I can't tell her the truth.
What is the truth? I see grown men cry and weep at night as we all do. Are we cowards are we heroes?
In reality how many woodbines i have left (2 if you must know) are as important to many as to living.
It is a glorious day today a mist just rising over the front, but the permant smell of pis sht, blood, cordite wrankles through the air and the juxtaposition is jarring.
Also the thought of going over the top today stirs something in you, so I take a deep breath and close my eyes and dream of a different world, where i smell flowers and wet grass, and the taste of Sarah as we lock lips for the first time.
The contrast of our worlds jarr into sudden focus and I go back to my hell to get ready for later in the day, gently calling her name to the sky.

fateen velour delux edition (way shorter he had to filum callback)

de pain was unbearable. He screamed out please don't talk the leg off.
the doctors ignored me and off came me leg. i passed out with de pain.
I woke up and saw i had only one leg now. ah well says i better than to be dead.
herbert beside me has no lungs left after catching a bit of chemical.
too cheer myself up i asked him how much pain he was in.
Nurse betty came and checked in on me i enquired about how Bobby was getting on after losing half his face she winked at me and said he has tried to put a good smile on it.
i laid back and decided to get some sleep and i gently thought if what was for supper
    de end.

I tink Fateen got one or two elocution lessons before doing Callback as his diction was marginally better. So now he claims that HE got Versatis restored to many patients who need it, plus a special hi-tech bed for the lady who featured. So in effect he was doing a MOL style bugle call, “success”.

He is a transistor radio version of a "Healy Rae", so to speak..
