BOI suddenly asking for ID and proof of address after decades. phishing scam?

    I've had this account for 20 years.
    It seems very strange, to get this out of the blue...

    I think it may be a phishing scam and will probably just delete it.


    Also I use my BOI statement for proof of address. I dont have any bills in my name where I live, so I cannot provide them any further proof of address.

    I can confirm that we're sending emails like this to some of our customers.
    If you forward the original email that you received to 365security@boi.com the advisers there will be happy to check if the specific email that you received is legitimate.
