PRSI credits UN

A few years ago I had a period of unemployment. 1 year on JSB and a couple on JSA. I recently applied for treatment benefit for an eye test and was sent a letter with my PRSI contributions for 2015 and 2016 which would have been the period I was in JSA.

Under PRSI contributions there is 0 and under credits there is 52 with UN beside them. At the time I didn’t think anything of it but after some research it seems you can receive PRSI credits while on JSA but they are not automatic as they are on JSB.

I was wondering if the UN refers to unclaimed or something? If not does anyone know what it stands for?

If so is it possible to “claim” these as I’d like them on my record for future assessments. Is there a cutoff date for when these can be claimed?

Or am I completely misunderstanding this UN thing?

The UN stands for Unemployment. It's just a legacy from before it was renamed Jobseekers.
You've got your credits, it's fine.
