Only noticed recently that the forestry spruce plantations neaar me have sections of brown in them. Are they another type of pine?

Latch goes brown in winter. That it? Otherwise could be disease.

Thanks probably larch then. It's in square sections so would not be diseased.

I was reading on the other thread that spruce plantations now much have a certain % of broadleaf. Is that just new ones and not old plantations? ( I.e. when they plant after felling)
