    I got exit-polled by RedC outside the polling station. One of their questions was: "Why did you vote for that candidate?"

    They had different options to choose from. I noticed they didn't include an option for: "He tells it like it is" so it might be tricky for the Casey voters to fill in.

    Even if I agreed with every word out of Casey's mouth (and I don't) why would that make me vote for him? He never put himself forward for public service; he (along with the other dragons) is only interested in enriching himself; he wouldn't make a good president.

    All this BS about Travellers and expenses and government jets is a sideshow. The question is "who would make the best president?" and the answer to that is obvious.

    MDH ftw.

    Yes in the referendum. This is not going to be won by old, grey, stale men. :D

    Suppose first is on 25%, second on 20%, and the rest trail with scores in the low teens. 25% is a crap argument for finishing the poll, but that's what FPTP does. Single transferable vote means the bottom guy gets eliminated and the 2nd prefs distributed, and we keep going until someone has >50%. Much more sensible.

    Also, FPTP means I have to vote for one of the two favourites, or I might as well spoil my paper. This is why the US is currently voting for either Kang or Kodos.
