    Hi,

I’m looking to paint a timber bed which currently has a glossy timber finish. Is there anything I can do to avoid sanding this before I paint it white?

The liquid sanders don’t seem to have great reviews..? Any special paint I can use? Just looking for a lazy job to do the kid’s bed!!

    Cheers

This has been recommended to me for painting a varnished bannister white.

    Colourtrend water based epoxy.
Is far better that bullseye 123 primer imo.
I have no faith in 123 primer

Bullseye is tosh. Fleetwood do a brilliant primer/undercoat called Bloxx It. No need to sand and you can get it tinted

Sorry, just saw you are painting the bed white. bloxx It comes in white by default. Put on a coat ( maybe 2), give it a light rub with a sanding sponge and put on the top coat.
