Whatever you do, don't acknowledge the fact that not all Travellers are bad.

Well maybe those who are ok and abide by society's norms should renounce their Traveller ethnicity and be equal with everyone else. That is what Casey is saying anyway, and he is correct. No one should be more equal than others under the law.

Leave the rest of them and their total scumbaggery to Pavee Point.

Maybe it's time that the law abiding Travellers unhitched their wagons from the rest of them. They have a voice too. But I reckon they would be terrified to say it.

Would that be of any use?

So now he's a clown because he has a BMW (and wife?)? Bit of a generalisation no? Or is that just jealousy? Any little credibility your other posts had has just evaporated.

There are lots of people that drive BMW,s , I know machine operators, shop assistants, nurses, guards, that drive that same car, in fact I once owned one, did not like it.

NO he just looked like a clown standing outside a fence - and herself with him.

He didn't engage with any of the people there - the families.

If he was presidential , he would have the balls to meet the families who were there. he should be fearless in meeting any Irish people.

He drove down in his BMW - did a photoshoot and headed off , was clown like and pathetic.

Surprisingly most don't believe all travellers are bad, it's just as they are a sacred cow you cannot have a conversation about the negative sides of the culture without being called a racist.

On the other hand it would seem for the most toast the folk defending them see no evil and are ok with other folk being impacted by the negative behavior.

Why should a decent person renounce their culture because of other people's behaviour?

I know that what Casey was saying and it is wrong.

SEMS does not give travellers any more entitlements or legal immunity than you have. It is of no threat whatsoever to your equality.

In other words Casey was talking nonsense.

Why should he engage with people who have threatened violence against him , called him a racist and have tried to push a narrative of them fearing for their lives because of his comments .

He went to have a look at 1.7M worth of public funded property that a section of self entitled people don't want to move into.

    Was listening to Casey today

He is a bit batty to be honest and early signs of cognitive issues.

Absolutely shocked how successful he has been - and has to be part luck.

He looked like a total clown going down there with his wife and BMW.

If it wasn't for traveler issue he would be still at 1 or 2 % , he has nothing to offer and all the dragons are complete useless delusional idiots to be honest.

It is unfortunate Michael D is too old. Darkness into Light one had merit , but for one putting forward a mental health face - she was way too cranky at times.

She's Dikie Rock in a wig

Why should a decent person renounce their culture because of other people's behaviour?

Because quite frankly any person with any pride in themselves would disassociate themselves from anything that will impact on them negatively.

    It is that simple.

And what on earth has the president got to do with public funded property.

    Complete stunt bull****.

Not yet it doesn't but aren't travellers looking for special laws regarding trespassing and animal welfare requirements ?

They are using their ethhic recognition to craft specific laws for themselves.

Also the fact they can have a whole housing estate built just for them seems to indicate they have allot more entitlements than most.

I'm quite happy to acknowledge there may well be. But I certainly wouldn't set a bar so low as to pronounce them 'good' based solely on the fact they manage to keep their (possibly illegally occupied) site clean.

I think we should probably strive for something a bit better than that don't you agree?

But yes, not surrounding yourself with filth is a start.

So even the good Travellers are bad then because they won't renounce their culture. They literally can't win with people like you, can they?

What have any of them got to do with anything ? With any of their platforms? This is the game they all play including Higgins , it's just not ok for candidates we don't like talking another public policy.

His big issue is, Equality for all

Why wouldn't you renouce a culture built on misogyny, animal cruelty and law breaking if you were none of them?

Or maybe illustrate what the good part of your culture is ?

Looking for things is not the same as getting them. There are all sorts of groups and organisations and people looking for things and laws.

SEMS is a symbolic gesture intended to foster inclusiveness and parity of esteem.

Welfare and housing entitlements are available to a wide cross section of the population. If you cherrypick one handout to castigate a community and people ignore all the other people and communities who recieve them, then yes, those people will probably vote for you.

    None. That's the point. :confused::confused::confused:

Let Casey (or you, or whoever) pick an election where if they win they can do something about what they speak about.

So might as well have Casey as Higgins so.

    That's that cleared up

I've asked before and literally the only answer I've ever gotten was 'music'.

Plenty of reality shows about Travelers, where are the ones that paint a positive picture?

    Or even a YouTube channel?

    Travellers are hated.

    Some of them are ok.

    Mostly hated though.

Discuss. Giving examples and back up your theories. Pretend you are at school.

Agree. But it will give them a shake and be a good laugh.

sure where would we be without him.

Is fun / but we can't lose national logic.

He is a useless candidate, very poor to communicate at times and very removed from real life.

The Irish electric will tend to go for the professor / artistic type

The 3 dragons in this is a joke. Casey is a real Ivory Tower type - we don't go for that.

But the point Peter Casey is making is that everyone who is disadvantaged should have an equal opportunity to gain housing.

Imagine in a country with our history having a president who in order to get elected targeted a minority.

Very very sad if it happens.

can I just ask one question

Is it intended that this group of houses are only for travelers ?

I'm being serious what is the logic of that ?

That is very poor for social inclusion to be honest and is more ghetto like

You are targeting the minority - joe public. Casey has it in the bag.

Its made that bit easier when at the height of a housing crisis that a community is able to just walk away from 1.7M worth of housing. We are also to believe said community which has had violent streaks in the past will not do anything to anyone who would move into those houses.

I disagree on the ethnic entitlement as they are playing the game very well in terms of making sure they get more rights than other Irish people.

Well two sites keep their bins with the handles out. Fair play to them and the sites quoted are very clean indeed.

But heck, they are not those to whom we are referring at all. Pity the remaining cohort are not condemned in the same way the "nice" Travellers are just because they are all Travellers.

All for one and one for all. The "nice" Travellers should be on Pavee's case every day and should disassociate themselves from the scumbag element that Pavee supports.

The good Travellers can keep their traditions (whatever they are, I still don't know), but can also call out their mad brothers and sisters. But no, they are terrified of the repercussions of letting down the clan I reckon. There is no win.
