There will most likely be a recap at the start that includes the relevant points from Defenders, Iron Fist season 2 had this so it will cover the main points of what happened to Matt in previous seasons and the Defenders and how he is where he is now.

Will I need to watch Defenders et al to understand the third season of Daredevil?

There's a good recap of the Defenders universe on YouTube which fills you in on everything. The Defenders is a good watch though.

You'd easily get away with just defenders and ignore everything else.

Anyone know if The Punisher is in this season of Daredevil? He was my favorite part of season 2.

It wouldn't surprise me if he shows up at some point, not as a pivotal part, but just the 2 of them crossing paths.

I seen an interview with the showrunner of this and he explicitly said there would be no crossovers with the other Netflix marvel shows. So I'd dial your expectations all the way down to zero for non Daredevil characters showing up in this.

Watched the first episode of the new season of Making a Murderer.. and after binging The Staircase recently, I've never grew more tired of the term "blood pattern" or "cast off pattern". To be fair, it looks like more of the same really.

I've watched the first two of Haunting of Hill House, it's really good and I'm looking forward to watching more. As someone else said, it's not exactly scary but more creepy, there are a few jump scares thrown in for good measure too.

The Haunting of Hill House is very effective. Its chilling and very, very sad at the same time. I really feel for the characters. Excellent TV. Some memorable scenes/ideas/images that will stay with me. The floating hat man in particular. 2 episodes to go.

I was all set for a great weekend of binging Netflix on my new "Smart" TV but the bloody app won't open. Anyone else have this issue with Samsung Smart TV?

I can't uninstall it. It says it's a "Basic App" and can't be uninstalled. I've tried just about every fix I have come across on the Internet but no luck.

I'm on the same episode as you. Very impressed. I really like the revolving camera that they use in a lot of scenes. Also the way they switch to past and present is very effective and it's just a very pretty TV show to look at it. I wouldn't say it's very scary but it has an unnerving atmosphere to it - especially the scenes in The Hill house.

Carla Gugino is getting better with age too.

The timeline transitions are very well done. Anyone with siblings (me male 3 sisters) will identify with so many aspects of this show. i love the creepiness so far but I think the overwhelming thing I'll take from it is sadness.

And yes Carla Gugino is a beautiful woman.

Its more of a psychological attack rather than the crap style of jumpy horror that has taken over in recent years. I love everything about it.

Took a while to realise the dad in the flashbacks is Elliott from ET.

Mine wouldn't work, saying it would not connect to router but that was an internet problem. Internet was gone for about a day. When it came back, tv wouldn't connect to router, no Netflix. Turned router off for 5 mins, back on and tv connected again and Netflix was back, 3 year old Samsung smart tv.

Try and access Netflix through the browser?

No VPN. Everything else works fine. The Smart Hub is updating at the moment so maybe that will fix it. Not the end of the world if it doesn't but I was hoping to be able to do away with Chromecast cables and what not.

Works fine through the browser and on my phone so it's definitely a TV/app problem. I have been Googling it and it seems to be a fairly widespread problem over the last few years.

My dad had same issue with YouTube on his Sony. He cleared the cache and it worked. Quick google of yours says reset the smart hub and reauthorise the apps which sounds similar to Sony fix.

Did you try holding the power button down for 5-10 seconds till the TV restarts?
