Race is a biological thing. Bone density, hair growth pattern, facial features, Skull size, health issues etc.

Travellers like most native Europeans are classified Causcoid. Skin tones vary across the race, Most Middle Easterners and Indians are also caucasian.

An ethnic group within a race is a different thing and it's true of course that ethnic groups can experience discrimination.

As a ratio, yes, of course there would be.
But there are reasons for that. (Not excuses, before the fulminators start the fulminating.) Reasons, which would be similar to high crime levels among other discriminated and oppressed groups around the world.

It is mentioned, but ignored. I believe after the status was conferred six months later the results of a DNA study was released to explain the difference. No different than what you would get on the Arran Islands in no new blood was introduced.

That's how this works as far as some are concerned they see no evil hear no evil when it comes to the travellers.
