Getting all plumbing and electrical redone and will have the pipes and electrical lines both exposed going across ceiling inside piping that I can paint.Which material would be best for this?
Would I best to use copper or cast iron

Gutted house and leaving exposed piping for a industrial look.also, leaving ceiling joists exposed and don’t want to cut holes in every board

if you are leaving joists exposed how are you proposing to comply with the building regs part B fire safety requirement for 30min fire protection

Did not know about these regs.I was intending to paint the beams, so now perhaps a fire safe paint?
How has other people with exposed beams complied with these regs?
