Im just after getting the p45 parts 2 3 and 4 form.I just have a few questions regarding this.

1 It says on the form that if you are unemployed and claiming a tax refund, send this form together with a claim form p50 to your local revenue office.I was on a 12 month TUS community employment scheme. When i registered the job on the revenue website, i was issued with a tax credit certificate, and i did not have to pay any tax or usc while on the scheme. So i presume there is no need to worry about applying for a tax refund, when i wasn't paying any while i was on the TUS scheme?

2 Do i need to give part 4 of the form to the social welfare, if i am receiving jobseekers allowance?Or is that only for if you are receiving jobseekers benefit?

3 Whenever i start my next job, do i need to fill out the blank spaces in parts 2 and 3 of the form?

If you are applying for any social welfare benefit, give them part 4 of the form.

If you are starting a new job, give parts 2 & 3 to your new employer.

If you have paid any tax it will be shown on the form as PAYE deducted or USC deducted. You may be able to claim a refund for this at the end of the year.

You don't need to fill out anything on the form yourself. Just keep it in a safe place until you need it for one of the above reasons.
