    Hi can anyone recommend an online broker that allows short selling of stocks or is this banned for euro residents? Thank you

    TD Ameritrade. It is still possible to trade all US ETFs. Not sure for how long :)

    I use them for a long time.
    Fees a fine. They are not discount brokerage anyway :)
    IB could be used for shorting US stocks as well - they have really low fees, terrible customer service, complicated platform, and even reduced initial deposit requirement to $0 for cash account and £2000 for margin account.
