He has an entire team to pay and whatever else on top of this which I’d imagine is considerable, PR, nutrionists, physicians, travel, accommodation, accounting...taxes. His ten million will be vastly reduced with all this. But if they are withholding it and he is facing a lengthy ban he could be in a bit of bother.

Right lads, bit of modding and clean up done.

    Few points..

No discussion on religion, it has no place in an MMA forum and quite clearly a lot of you know very little to nothing about it to be bringing it up anyways..so dont, go discuss it on the religion forum if you feel the need.

Regardless of who you wanted to win or lose the fight or what you think of the aftermath there is no need for name calling, fighter bashing etc..its against the charter. You can discuss the fight without such childish nonsense.

Personal abuse - attack the post not the poster, cut out the tit for tat and sly digs at people.

At least it is now known what would have happened if Khabib did get off that bus back in New York.

Just thinking back over what Dana said... three guys arrested but released as Conor didnt want to press charges.

What about the UFC or even the state? I guess at the end of the day that Dana didnt want to go down that route as it would have had to involve Khabib and McGregor too, both having been out of order.

Is khabib at risk of a lawsuit when he jumped into the crowd?

Conor was far too ring rusty. 2 years off and back to face the best lightweight of all time. Stupid decision by ‘coach’.
Conor should’ve been fighting petis last night. Khabib should’ve fought Ferguson.

Just on the he rattled him narrative. There is a difference of hating someone and being rattled. I honestly think Khabib hates Conor. Aldo was rattled, Khabib wasn't imo

Conor underestimated Khabib ......alot of the prefight talk and showmanship is just that, talk....we've seen him do it all the time and shake hands be humble after a fight ....I've no doubt he'd have done after this fight too

Khabib saw it all different, a Dagestani muslim....totally different breed

Anyone know about the money side of things? Before the fight it was said that Khabib's payday would be bigger than all Khabib's previous fights combined, would that be right?

So if Nevada State decide to withhold the purse does that mean he gets nothing, or do they separate out the money (into PPV, ticket sales etc.?) meaning it's just one portion of the pay that he doesn't get?

They had not released his purse, which is just pertaining to the fight fee. Not the ppv or anything, that's nothing to do with them.

    He will get the purse.

His purse of $2million was withheld, he'll get a fine, probably a few hundred thousand, from the state athletic comission, and ban of about 6 months I'd say.

He'll easily clear 15-20 million from his cut of the PPV sales though, Conor will clear 30odd after ppv.

It's America there's always a risk someone who wasn't even effected claims they broke their finger nail and launches a civil suit.

We do that in Ireland too

Dreadful carry on after the boxing match. McGregor did well to surrender in the end. No need for others to have gone for him though. Will they rematch can't see that Khabib will be allowed back into UFC.

What's the story with Derrick Lewis - is that his genuine real-life persona or does he ham it up for the camera? He's hilarious though, that post-fight interview was a classic. Come back wasn't half bad either! Dangerous, terrifying man.

Going back to the main card....was there really much difference between Conor and Raging Al's performances? Al's a good brawler but you could tell throughout the whole fight he was terrified of being taken down by Khabib and his stand up game was horrible as a result...and he got fairly mauled as well for all 5 rounds, really busted up too.

Conor was pretty much exactly the same, just totally off his game with no real answer to Khabib's grapple.

Totally agree with the comment above that Conor should've fought Petis and Ferguson, Khabib. I hope to hell we see Fergusson v. Khabib now, that'd be one hell of a fight.

Can't see Conor or Dana wanting any more of that

That's what we all said after the bus incident and here we are, so I'd say it'll definitely happen. Down to NSAC's reaction I'd say, whether he gets suspended, but it'll happen eventually.

Exactly........ and you can be damn sure that the promo from the rematch will be full of slow-mos of Khabib jumping two footed into the crowd at Danis.

As Dana said it's all part of "the story".

McGrgeor was arrested for throwing a metal dolly threw a bus window at other UFC fighters it led to last night's fight. Outrage never lasts too long before money starts talking.

    Rematch imminent.

One thing about last night is for sure anyway, people can no longer call Khabib's belt fake as what he did last night legitimized it.

Disgraceful for the sport what he did etc, blah blah blah, but it was damn bad ass and the UFC would be mad now to make the most of Khabib's rise as he'll be a needle mover now for sure in his own right.

What disappoints me most was McGregors performance when they briefly went toe to toe with punches. He was sluggish and reluctant. In fact it was Khabib that clattered him with a right. So Khabib even out boxed him.

Has McGregors ground game actually improved at all since Mendes mauled him on the ground 3 yrs ago? I don't think so. At the same time he was up against the best ground game fighter on the planet after a 2 yr absence. Seems mental in hindsight.

    This X 1000000.

Dana has to be po faced and do his Helen Lovejoy impression for a few days but he'll be more than happy to replay it all in the promos for the rematch for the headline at international fight week next July.

Anyone that buys into a rematch here is a sucker, he was outclassed. Khabib hits harder than him. McGregor needs to think of his partner and kids, hes set for life. Walk away.

Khabib can just sit back now and wait for huge money to do a rematch. Mcgregor will be mad keen to fight and Khabib can sit back until the offers hit insane figures.

Diaz rematch in the new year to make some money and try repair reputation and then if he wins rematch in July. That's what will happen.

Nate will put a damper on it though and best him.

Yeah I was thinking that earlier, the sucker punch alone was a criminal offence that can be prosecuted by the state, it's irrelevant if Conor drops charges or not.

If you did it on the street the police would arrest and charge you.

Think IV seen enough of Conor for a few more years. Go away and take care of the family and actually work out your issues in the gym. If you come back you come back, if not no worries. That was horrible to watch. Completely out boxed and ragdolled. Embarrassing really.

Embarrassing if you never watched Khabib fight before.

Why would McGregor want to fight Diaz again? They were absolutely brutal, harrowing fights for him. McGregor can't put him down.

His star is on the wane a bit really. I see it as being hard for him to continue with the cocky posturing - the king - after these mounting defeats.

Diaz beat him fair and square in the first fight. He just scraped the second. The Mayweather fight was a joke and now he has been well beaten by Khabib.

I dont see how McGregor is still no.2 Pound for Pound and no. 1 contender in Lightweight.
