Yeah, because the broader VOD topic seems movie orientated. I'm sure I could find some buried old topic in the Television forum but Amazon Video Ireland seems too niche to bother. Might be less niche now, they added Grey's Anatomy as well.

Yeah well you mentioned the US office so it was too good an opportunity to use that gif to miss.

    This too shall pass.

It's the 'person obsessed with their looks discovers that true beauty really comes from inside and that they had the confidence they needed along' story that is a trope of children and teen movies for many a year. It's retold in Nappily Ever After with all the subtlety of a brick to the face with a script that was horrendously clunky, delivered by actors who'd give wood a bad name.

Did u watch the trailer before watching the film?

Really enjoyed The Angel. Movie based on a true story about the Israel Egyptian war in the 60/70s . Worth a watch

Quick slightly unrelated (sorry!) question: but does anyone know how long you have to watch a movie or tv show after you download it before it expires?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Varies. Some go in 48hrs, others a week, others seem to last up to a month, if not longer . Titles that only last a short period of time are meant to have an expiry display next to them

Yeah, it's a very easy watch, with the odd bit of good comedy and has a no frills approach that works very well.

Private Life is getting a lot of buzz: certainly one of the most critically acclaimed Netflix original films to date (although Roma is looking like a properly ‘big deal’). It’s the latest from Tamara Jenkins, who directed The Savages a good decade ago now.

If nothing else, the superb duo of Kathryn Hahn and Paul Giamatti are a hell of a pair to get on board. Looking forward to giving it a look over the weekend.

The main thing I plan to watch this weekend. The director also wrote and directed 1998's Slums of Beverly Hills.

Any film with Paul Giamatti in it is alright by me.

Ok, I’ve recently watched Good Girls, The Detectorists, loved them.
Any recommendations for similar series? Off til Tuesday and did a proper spring-cleaning episode of housework/cleaning a few days ago so I shall not be feeling one bit guilty about getting stuck into a series for the next couple of days! :)

Not sure about similar but The Good Place is fairly enjoyable and Boston 99 is hilarious.

Watched Hold the Dark, thought it was a bit meh compared to Blue Ruin and Green Room. It's watchable but a slow burn.
