Hey All,

Sorry if this has been posted here before but i've been looking to get some car hire excess insurance to avoid the sales person assault when we get to the counter in Orlando.

A lot of the companies have a button to add "Supplementary Liability Insurance" as an option, but it nearly doubles the quote of the insurance.

A quick google has not given me concrete answers, some people say its pointless where others are telling me its essential, especially in the US.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
