Gun barrel heating pipe.

    I need to shift a radiator about 2 meters to the right . But the pipe is gunbarrel. All looks in good condition insulation fully. Wrapped no deterioration.

    I understand I can just plug the existing radiators with gun barrel plugs and some PTFE .

    See picture. Attached.


    But when putting in new T . What's the best option. Gun gun barrel I'd need to thread it or is there other options that are easier.

    Easiest way would be to cap off the existing tees and weld new branches in.

    Welding ..


    Would it be handier to chop out a section . Thread it with a die. Throw in dielectric union and solder in some new copper for the new rad.
