Terenure and Lansdowne play in the final of the Leinster Senior League this Friday in Donnybrook at 7.30pm

Good win for Lansdowne 42-5 I think? I saw 2nd half on way home from work, Kielys closed was a schock, knew it was coming but thought it might be after Christmas. Lansdowne were impressive enough, Terenure looked to be in bother at scrum time but looked like a few players missing from each team as still early season with a cup up for grabs in September!! They looked worthy winners from what bit I saw

Good win first half was very tight with Terenure having the majority of possession. Terenure definitely missing a few and Lansdowne probably closer to full strength.

1A side should be beating 2B side comfortably enough.

Always is a few AIL players involved across the divisions and while UCC, UL, Queens field teams its far from there AIL sides playing in full together
Athlone, DCU, DIT, Garda College, IT Carlow, Ulster University are sides in Division1

Saw this earlier but was on way to ref some school games and then had to go to work.

I think Highfield will do well in 2A and are my favourites to go up. Theyve already played 2 sides in this division in cup games and won both. Beating Nenagh 34-10 and Old Crescent 29-24.
On the other hand im not sure Nenagh Ormond will do as well this season. Theyve been in playoff final for promotion to 1B for the last 2 seasons but have lost a considerable amount of experience with kiwi 10 Clayton stewart biggest loss. Muldoons also have finished up with them.
Bohs wont be going straight back up to 1B. Beaten in both cup games by the tipp sides. By Nenagh in Charity Cup 27-17 and Cashel in senior cup 23-16. Both in Annacotty. Lost a fair few players as well. Armagh dont appear to be as good as last season on basis of Ulster league games.
So think its Highfield to lose and playoff places could be any number of sides.

Bunch of lads from Limerick just started a new Club Rugby podcast. Gave it a listen and they definitely know their stuff. It can be a bit Limerick centric at times but I found it quite enjoyable. Dave Newman from Ballina makes a guest appearance ahead of their return to the AIL

    Anyone at a game yesterday?
Both sides relegated from 1B well beaten in 2A. Very big win for Navan at home to Nenagh.
Great start for Ballina in their return to senior status.

Was at the UL Bohs-Highfield match.Highfield were far superior in nearly every facet of play. The Bohs scrum was strong for the first forty but Highfield's fitness was a huge factor leading to a 6-1 try victory.(Kevin O Byrne doing a lot of S and C work with Highfield during pre-season.)

Navan, Highfield, Barnhall and Bangor results all stand out there as particularly impressive I think.

Does the Highfield result stand out?
Navan stand out by the margin considering theyve just went up to 2A but Nenagh have lost a lot of players from last season as well as got a new coaching team in
Highfield result doesnt stand out too much considering Bohs have lost all games pre league as well as having lost quite a few players due to relegation.

Will there be many clubs who will be affected by PPS this season?
45 players cant exceed 100 points through that system.

Can't really see it effecting many clubs. 100 points limit is pretty managable

Was at the Mu Barnhall/Rainey OB match. Home side had the BP in the bag after 30 mins. Rainey eventually got going and made it a much more even contest after the break but damage had already been done.
