Teenager looking to set up car wash

Hi, I was thinking on setting up a carwash while in school to earn a bit of money and was hoping for advice on whether or not to go all out and buy expensive stuff for it or to go cheap get customers and then go all out because i dont have a lot of money backing me right now but can get a loan from family.

I would say start off with cheaper stuff and progress onto the more expensive stuff once you get a good handle on what you're doing and if funds allow. Use the money you make from washing cars to reinvest back into it to buy better products but at least start out with the proper basics like a mitt, 2 buckets with grit-guards etc as they will last you a good while without needing replacement.

Slip adverts in mailboxes around the local estates.
Offer to come wash the car at people's homes.
As said, start with cheaper stuff and get better stuff as you make more money.

Consider water usage, your drainage ( if you are doing it at a set location ) etc. Best of look, let us know how you get on. Just remember this - charge too much and people wont attend, charge too little and people will think you must be no good. Strange ole world we live in.
