Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Edinburgh are a team that have real niggle about them. A very very good pack that love to slow it up and very hard to break down.

    Looking forward to this game

Weather could be a bit crappy but it’s a bloody strong selection from Leinster while Edinburgh seem to have rested a few guys. We need to be targeting a TBP win here. 16 from a possible 20 that included 2 away games in Wales would be a very fine start to the season.

Larmour is going to be the talking point after this game.

Larmour is going to be the talking point after this game.

It will be interesting to see if he’s getting so many starts in close to full strength teams because Lancaster sees him as potential first choice this season. My feelings are that he is still behind Kearney but is pushing for inclusion in Heineken match day starting lineups despite the competition in back 3 being fierce.

    Stop start so far.

Excellent counter ruck from Lowe to follow up ripping the ball off their No. 8 in the air.

    Ryan starting very well too.

Edinburgh with an excellent passage of play. They were moving the ball so smoothly despite Leinster trying to disrupt their possession a number of times. They look p*ssed off ater last week.

My satellite dish got hit with a freak meteorite. Can anyone PM me a recommended replacement?

Great block and then pick up from Dev

Amazing. I wanted him to cross the line with it so bad.

Omg.. can you imagine if Toner scored that himself. Try of the year material!

Some savage skills from the ref

    Knock on there possibly.

Love the footage of Toner making that run and reaching the ball back.

That all came from the 9 panicking because the ref told him he had 5 seconds to use it. Happy to see refs being a bit more strict when they tell players to use it.

Incredible passage of defence and ineptitude from Edinburgh.

That was sensational defending from Leinster.

It was but Edinburgh just decided to try and out muscle them in an 8 v 8 battle in a tight space. It was the height of stupidity. The first time they tried to do something different they nearly got in and won penalty advantage.

This is a brutally physical game. So many big hits, VdF folded a lad earlier and has been monstering in defence in that last passage, pretty huge performance from him.

    We look a bit flat.

Yeah it was very one dimensional. But it takes a massive amount of concentration and physicality to keep a side out for 30+ phases.

A lot of sloppy knock ons.

    Amazing footwork from Healy.

    Try was on there.

Should've spun the ball wide when we were under the posts.

That carry from Healy deserved a try.

A loop with Toner as pivot.

    Sweet Jesus.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

No idea what happened there in real time! Some slick hands.

    Lowe with a great finish.

Lovely offload from Larmour and finish from Lowe as well.

    Home Games.

    Lowe is a genius.

    That was a beautiful offload

    WOW what a try.

Toner was brilliant there. Having a fine game right from the kick off catch. And he takes another one perfectly.

The skill levels for that try are off the charts

Highlights of that half were Lowes try and the Edinburgh medic. Both very tidy.

Who was it saying recently that Larmour couldn't pass?

Jesus, the Glasgow one earlier was only lovely too.

Maybe I should go to Scotland for my groin strain.

Good scoreline at HT but Edinburgh have posed us difficulties. Very physical and should have at least a try to their name. Need a big second half.

I think we should have a collection and set a reward to capture the fat b*stard who ate Luke Fitz.

Edinburgh have been really good. Ball retention has been excellent, and they're making yards.

VdF and Luke McGrath's defensive efforts so far are ridiculous.

Ha, way to misconstrue, the point was that he made loads of carries down blind alleys, not that he couldn’t pass, but that he didn’t.
His flick pass for the try was top drawer, more of that please!

Huge involvement in both tries. He's basically our Beauden Barrett.

Edinburgh’s attack is awful sorry. Monotonous one off the ruck.

I think you'll find people were saying that he should introduce some variation to his game by using the pass more to keep people guessing. This was a beautiful example of him doing just that and it resulted in a great team try.

Ah but can he kick goals?

    Probably better than BB!

Edinburgh are going to lift the niggle stakes this half by the looks of it. Can see a yellow card at some point.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Probably deserved on the balance of play but sloppy from Leinster to allow the break down the near side and slip off a couple of tackles.
