Could you offer advice on VPN router for VM BB Superhub3 please?

I've done a little research and it seems these are recommended. I understand request for IP4 is required. I would also need to flash Tomato or dd-wrt?

Would you recommend either of these please? Or are there better ones sub 150 euro?

Netgear r7000 nighthawk ac1900

Home includes office and approx 8 devices that could run together.

There is none will beat this absolute beast for a VPN router. Also available in rack mount without wireless. Mikrotik is enterprise gear, there's a steep learning curve setting it up. No need to flash ddwrt, Mikrotik Router os is even more powerful. It's only released, stock should appear in the next week or two.

I would like two things.

To better manage connections in the network as hub3 is not great with multiple connections. Example - Watching 4k Netflix in sitting room decreases stream quality of Netflix in kitchen.

To protect my data using vpn when I need to. For all sources in network.
