Hi, if you lose your locknut key for your car wheels you can order them from this site in Germany. You need the code from the little bag that the locknuts came in originally and they take about a week to arrive. Ford dealer had told me they would have to be ground off, but another one gave me the address:

Best thing to do is take them off and replace with standard wheel nuts/bolts. Those locking ones are just asking for trouble.

I have recently had me the pleasure of a damaged lock nut removal tool.Absolute disaster.Had to weld another bolt on to the lock nut to get it off.No damage to the alloy luckily.

My mothers Peugeot 207 had all the lock nuts removed and replaced. The key kept slipping on them.

The problem with locknuts is you have to keep the socket in your car. If someone wants your wheels bad enough then they'll do even more damage getting to the locknut socket.

Hearing lots of stories of it happening in commuter train stations lately.
