I've no great sympathy for adults who don't understand the concept of a "self-declaration" charge and/or who claim never to have heard of the NPPR charge but I would have to say that the penal fines for failing to pay the NPPR (introduced, let's not forget, by the vile and spiteful Green Rat, John Gormley) are very unfair.

They always were dirt cheap in Roscommon, but lack of amenities is a problem.

Lookit... Pat will game the system if he/she can get away with it .

Always the case, no use running away from the facts.

Think clampers, “I only went in for the papers” as the SUV sits on the double yellow for 20mins.

Need to weed these gamers out of the system, and give the legitimate taxpayer a fair crack of the whip.

I’m away from de show, but in de car heard a guy on about NPPR, who was living in Germany and said he ne Er heard of it not neither did his accountant. That accountant, depending on how complete a service was requested (have never used one do don’t know the ins and outs) must not have been up to much of this is true. It might be his job to ensure it’s paid, but one wud think he/she’d at least remind client living in Germany as rentals would all have come under that bracket.
