Agreed. Your reputation is everything. Now Hopkins has realized the costly mistake of falsely smearing a person's reputation and then ill-advisedly doubling down on that mistake.

One of more interesting things that I have learned over the past few years is that "Professional Cunt" and "Professional As&hole" are actual jobs that people get paid for. I don't know if it was as common before the rise of the internet but there are plenty of them about these days. This is obviously driven by shows and papers who are willing to pay her money since the outrage that's generated translates directly into advertising revenue. It's an interesting business model and it takes a certain shameless type to pull it off but it's a real thing.

I'm not sure that this is true in the UK. According to the Gazette, you can lose your home in a bankruptcy.

The trustee’s duty
A trustee in bankruptcy will only be interested in a bankrupt’s home if it is either owned completely, or partly, by the bankrupt. So if you live in a rented property, you should remain unaffected by your bankruptcy.

Otherwise, a trustee must do something to realise the bankrupt’s interest in the family home within 3 years of the bankruptcy order. If the trustee does nothing, they will lose the right to do so, and generally speaking, no order will be made forcing you and your family to move out of your home in less than 12 months from the date of bankruptcy.

If you are the sole homeowner and have no spouse, then neither the 12 months nor the 3 year period will apply, so possession could be sought immediately, or after a deferred period.

Well i don't think harsh criticism of a woman or man is sexist if their sex isn't brought into it. I mean, John Connors is being similarly slated on another thread.

When Katie wasn't on a wind-up I didn't always disagree with her. Some of her points were not unreasonable. Basic "take responsibility for yourself" kinda stuff but too often missing today.

And people gave too much oxygen to stuff she said that was clearly only for provocation. When someone is only looking for an annoyed reaction, why on earth give it to them? In some ways, Katie's detractors made Katie. She wouldn't have gained such notoriety if ignored.

But if you're going to be a professional troll you're going to piss off the wrong people eventually - and that's your own doing.
