I don't think we have more info than usual because I'm not convinced the wolves couldn't compete for the riddles and prizes and do so without compromising themselves.

I think this is an important point. It makes sense for the wolves to take part in puzzle solving. A wolf solving one of them would be the perfect cover to hide behind when accusations come flying.

If I was on team wolf I'd be solving the puzzles as a group, then having Irene Adler announce the answer. If she comes up a winner, have her disconnect from the group so she peeks as a NVR. She's have two things pointing to her as clearly villager. Definitely worth it.

I'm not saying its what happened but its something to keep in mind.

I'm in favour of FFAs but don't mind if people want to do full on reads. I'd be a bit hesitant about everyone doing it as a) I think it's a lot of info to put out there and b) I'm lazy ;) Seriously though, FFAs may be gameable but having to do them means having to read the thread properly and I sometimes think people don't bother reading. I can't be the only one who has posted a *spectacular insight, only to feel like I shouted it into an empty room or to see someone else come along and post the exact same thing soon after.

*may or may not be a slight exaggeration

Is that about the doris thing, lol. I had not read your post at the time of posting, but i have read it now. So, rest assured, I have read that post.

Hmmmm that's quite the elaborate plan you've got there. It's almost like you've had some help with it

Um, the rest of us can't see the board Gabs. You're gonna want to link us to the post in your back room that has it....

Orla's reads list is the board.

Seeing as how he listed everyone, we are actually guarenteed to find the wolves in his list.

Oh the other hand, if I was a wolf team and hadn't had any hand in helping to solve the puzzles, I'd be trying to low key attack the credibility of those who were working hard on them, fearful that a small, initial villager core has been established....

Belated greetings to my fellow detectives, the weekend and beyond has not gone as planned for me, at all.

You know the drill with absent/low-lying posters by now - "I'll just go and catch-up and I'll be back with my thoughts soon", however...I still don't have the time to catch up right now.

I'm swimming against the modkill tide here today, and am sorry to say that I'll be fluffing away as if it were Day 0 until I reach 5 posts.

I hope to get into this more tomorrow, but I'm dealing with an ongoing situation.

Just read that back; thats not to deride your reads list necessarily Orla. I do think its useful info and hopefully some of it is right. The bit about me is anyway, so thats 1/20 or so you got right.

    #FFA1

Tegan - Super neutral in all her contributions to the thread thus far. Wont take a position against anyone. Minimal fluffy contribution to the puzzle stuff yesterday. This appears to be a coasting wolf. Rocketed up the posting charts today once she had to.

Winifred - Named Orla, Dessie and Mary, then Mary got ded. Other contributions to the thread have been parroted help for quizzes while other people did the work. 3 posts yesterday, with a bump in posting levels this morning say to me we have another coasting wolf doing the bare min to contribute.

    Thats all i got.

Orla would go in there but i cant tell if they are playing the busy NRV or the busy wolf yet. So for now, ill keep her out and keep watching.

Id be amazed if at least some of the wolves werent active yesterday.

I have no FFA list and won't for today. I'll likely be using them to decide my lynch vote as that is realistically my only way of making a somewhat informed vote today.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 5,361 ✭✭✭Conor WW

The wolves would have to have been active but it's easy to appear helpful without actually being helpful. And I wouldn't be surprised if at least one were 'solving' clues in a way that deliberately steered people away from the right answer, although that presumes that they knew the answers. I'm assuming they knew their own powers so could possibly work backwards from that information to solve the riddles even if they didn't 100% know the answers.

On the first part, normally you wouldn't go so in depth into the reads, you'd literally just rank every living player from towniest to wolfiest, but I wanted to give an in-depth example of what I was referring to.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I think they probably split a bit; that one or two would have gotten involved, and one or two would have played the "Herp derp" card.

For all the activity yesterday, there wasn't 100s of posts to go through, so it feels like a small enough task to ask people to do a quick read of who was getting involved, how and who wasn't.

My personal list is that the team working on the puzzles, from the start, was me, Connor, Desmond, Mary, Clodagh, Riona and Nigel. I honestly have Connor, Desmond and Clodagh on good leans, have Riona is 50/50 and Nigel as suspicious.

These are the powers and the answers:

Her speciality is reprogramming the human brain...
Eurus acts as a double parity count for the Werewolves of London.

    ANSWER: redbeard

Irene can be sent away from the backroom. When sent way she will not be able to contact the villains but she still must act in their interest, when sent away she will be seen as Scotland yard officer to any peeks or deaths and also parity counts, she can be recalled into the backroom at any stage but this can only be done once in which she will then remain in the backroom as a villain. Recalling Irene into the backroom has a 24hr timer from request.

    ANDWER: locked password

Consulting Criminal: Moriarty has two full seer peek.

    ANSWER: iou

Can you show how exactly one would go about working backwards to get the answer from the powers.

Game schedule: Game starts with a slaughter to be revealed at 10am on Monday morning. Munches will be revealed at 10am, lynch votes will be revealed at 9pm. Bodyguard protect requests and Jail requests have a deadline and must be put in before lynch or it will not be accepted.

This morning was "a slaughter" ? That means this morning wasn't a munch?

The death had the words "no more flavour" . .

Where's the other 33.3% of your FFA?

You mention Orla in your ffa, sort of hinting that you want to include her, but don't. Why?

Can you see a winifred orla w/w team?

Slaughter is standard mention for munch in the OP. If you check the last game it said the same thing. No rabbithole there Riona ol' buddy ol' pal.

I think the argument was more that there may have been a few people working on the clues together in the backroom and then were feeding the answers to the group through one chosen person so that they could give a good read

That's a generous reading of my post. I did kind of mean that they had more information to work with but Des's post does show up the flaw in that 'logic' as the clues and answers, while relevant to the characters, aren't directly relevant to the details of the powers.

I dont have a third person id be happy to see hang without more information against them.

I hint Orla could be good too, so dont exclude that. I cant tell either way, so i dont want her on my FFA im mentioning that as my read either way. I dont have much on anyone else yet - nothing im happy to put my name beside anyway.

I probably cant see that team, but im not infallible. It could be contrived in their backroom as a ploy. Probably not though.

Sorry, I'm back. Jeff Hope just tried to kill me.

I got a message that I had to pick between two bottles he sent me. One would kill me instantly and one would let me live.

I chose the right bottle so here I am. Bonus for us is he has to wait an extra day before he can use his pills again.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 5,361 ✭✭✭Conor WW

Off out for a bit. Back later. Jeff can kill separate from munch WTF?

    Key.
'there may have been a few people working on the clues together in the backroom' = WWofLondon
'one chosen person so that they could give a good read'= one of your riddle answerers.

Okay its your opinion that wwof london figured out the answer, and one of them answered a question? or they knew the answer and didn't answer the riddle? what exactly are you trying to say here?

2 people officially answered the riddles, derry & conor.
The fact that they officially answered the questions does not tell me of their alignment. I don't use answering riddles to sort people.
