    Hi,

Currently have an oil boiler and want to install Gas in Dublin 9. - so new boiler - (rads in house fine so no need to replace) & a connection to Gas on the road.
Is there any grant for doing this ? If too expensive then I probably will not do...
Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of who much it would cost to do?

Also, would anyone know if I have to get a specialist to remove the existing oil tank out back?

    Thanks.

I looked into it few years back and you need to contact Bord gais networks who charge a set fee based on distance. I recall it was all in their website.

Consider air to water, fossil fuels are a thing of the past.

There are grants for this (see SEAI HRI heat pump grants) but be aware, it would most likely need an insulation upgrade to the house also. Would be best solution for sure, but go in with your eyes open.
