Just wondering would anyone know where to get a slim line water tank? I am looking to mount the tank to the side of my house so it needs to be narrow, length is no issue. I have looked on line and there are one or two variations that mount directly to the drainpipe. Due to space reasons I have to mount the tank remote from the drainpipe. Dimension wise I would be looking for a tank approximately 3-4 foot wide x 2 foot high x 4 inches deep.
I have tried a few of the oil tank manufacturers in Ireland to no avail. My next option is to get one fabricated out of Aluminum or Stainless. Based in Dublin and distance is not a problem.

A tank like that shouldn't be a problem for a competent plastic welder either, is it just for watering the garden and washing cars etc?

Yes both of the above. I might also run the toilet downstairs off the supply using a filter.

I'd be inclined to make it from PE plastic, black would stop growth of algae as well.

Tank would need to be sheltered from the sun to avoid Primordial soup 2.0

    Could it be buried?

It won't matter that much for watering and washing a car, the biggest issue is green algae will block filters and the like, if you have a light proof tank it won't grow.
