I'd be shocked if Canelo is off the juice now, or ever was. It's professional sport, anyone not on the juice is an idiot.

That’s a ridiculously unfair generalized claim. Plenty top sports people are clean, and are elite and clean. What is this juice you’re alluding to? Some magic type medicine that they all just have to be on?

So, GGG has to be on it too? That, or he’s an idiot?

Is it possible to order this through virgin media?

Is it possible to order this through virgin media?

It's not on PPV, only on Eir sports and BT/Boxnation so you can only watch it (legally) through them if you're subscribed, i don't think these are on the Virgin media packages.

...I'm pretty sure it is on BT PPV...It's their first ever sports ppv event as far as I know...£16.95 do about €20.00...For Virgin media customers (me) I am pretty sure it'll be on channel 862...If I ring and get it, which is likely, then I'll let you know if any issues...

You cant get it if you have Virgin, as mentioned above you need an Eir/BT Sports subscription, its not PPV in Ireland.

So Sky subscribers don't have the option to buy the PPV , even when they have the BT sports package? That doesn't sound right to me , but it seems to be the case since the option to order isn't available anywhere.

It's desperately cringe with that lad, and completely out of context and unnecessary.

    Crikey!!

I worry about setting the record since coverage starts at 11:30 and won't finish till 5:00am.
Ive had some UFC recordings end prematurely. Might have to stay up to be safe!

Always record the show after it.

Canelo charged at GGG for the weigh-in, GGG completely unfazed....Canelo gets something shoved in his mouth that to be honest looked odd, he then goes to sit down and misses the chair. He was flustered.

Apologies as I am sure this has been asked before but how the fcuk do I get to watch the fight? I subscribe to Boxnation but it's not on there, I can't seem to get it on Box Office on Sky while the BT web link doesn't have an Irish option...anyone know?

GGG is one of the coolest men ever. Lad has the ultimate "doesnt give a **** attitude".

Love a fighter who can draw a big following without having to resort to the bravado and trash talk and just lets his actions in the ring do the talking.

Unfortunately I don't have Eir Sport, you have to sign up for two months to see the fight, way too expensive.

It's a disgrace that the fight is not available in Ireland on standard PPV. Boxnation is a waste of time now if BT are going to have all the big fights and can't be arsed making them available over here, think I'll cancel my subscription.

I'm really going back and forth on this one. Struggling to discount any theory.

In the first fight I was totally neutral, as I liked both boxers a lot, but since the failed drug test, I definitely want Golovkin to win. However, that doesn't cloud my judgment on how the fight might go.

Stamina/output is still Canelo's biggest weakness at this level. Will he work hard enough? I believe he's the more skilful boxer of the two, but Golovkin certainly could outwork him. Actually all my reasoning of why I thought the first fight was going to be so tight still stands, the only difference is that this time there may be a 'sympathy' angle for Golovkin.

I had absolutely no problem with the draw first time, it was a very close fight, but with the drug test and the internet led campaign of how Golovkin got robbed there is the possibility that the judges will be 'over fair' to Golovkin in any round that is tight, so...

Having said that, Canelo knows he can take Golovkin's power and considering he finished the fight much stronger than I thought he could, maybe his own pacing of his output could be upped enough to take any doubt out of what formerly would have been close rounds.

Of course, Golovkin could use the 'drug cheat' angle to motivate himself even higher, but does that risk him being too gung-ho?

One thing that has been very obvious in the buildup is how Golovkin and his trainer Sanchez (who I've never been mad about) have consistently been on about Canelo's "running" in the first bout. It's obvious as hell they're trying to bait him into standing and trading, which would suit Golovkin. I didn't think Canelo was going to fall for it, but then I saw the weighin and he was so bloody fired-up, I'm not quite so sure now.

Anyway, looking forward to it immensely.

I think that was a bluff from Canelo. I think he will move and although I don’t want this outcome, I can see him get through to GGG to score a late ko

I think Golovkin will knock him out this time. No hiding in a squared for a drug cheat. It's very clear that he is off it now and I really do feel that he won't be able to handle GGG's workrate and that the power will eventually be too much.

    Canelo KO
How is it very clear that he is off it now?

Been looking at some images and pics of Canelo over the past year. What exactly is so glaringly obvious to you ‘PEDs in sports’ experts?

Look at his weigh-in pics, (just one example) from today and last September..what am I meant to deduce from them?

And what exactly was he on? Trace amounts of Clenbuterol...

Those trace amounts making all this ever so clear?

Yeah people were jumping on the Canelo looks small train until a side by side showed virtually no difference so it is just all smoke. Golovkin looks slightly better this time round but both are in impeccable shape as is to be expected.

I'm not naive enough to believe Canelo is clean now, or any elite fighter or athlete for that matter, but I do have to laugh at people hoping Canelo gets beaten because he failed a drug test.

Too many variables for me to pick this fight confidently. No idea if GGG has gotten old, no idea if the drug ban effects Canelo. I do know if it's the same two boxers as the first fight I favour GGG.

The judges on paper are the three best they can get. I'm probably being naive but I don't think they should be a big factor. Obviously if it's a very close fight then Canelo will get the nod but I have faith that if it's a carbon copy of the first fight GGG will get it this time.

Lot of people saying GGG needs to go to the body more and I'd agree with that but his problem is that he uses his jab to set up his body work. Canelo's head movement negates GGG's jab to a large degree which in turn makes it very difficult for him to go to the body consistently. When he inevitably has Canelo up against the ropes in the mid rounds he has to go to the body more without doubt.

I think this follows a similar pattern to the first fight. Canelo always tires mid to late so can't see any way that changes. GGG will take over and dominate the mid rounds. I think the difference is with the fire in his belly he'll start better this time and win clear.

Not confident in that pick though. If GGG has gotten any slower which at 36 is very possible he's in big trouble. The speed difference was noticeable enough in the first fight.
