with everything going on with house repossessions and these protestors invading buildings , Im wondering is there any legal way in which I could start a private security company that would be permitted to act on behalf of banks/ landlords to assist in forcefully removing people from buildings. I think theres a market for more 'masked men' type companies.

a side note, if some people do invade a building, is there anything to stop a company sending in rather large men with non invasive things like smoke bombs / air horns / strobe lights at all hours of the night to basically annoy these people into leaving ?

You want people to respect your authority.

The use of smoke bombs / air horns / strobe lights would amount to assault and would be actionable by the Gardaí.

would installing a smoke alarm and testing it continuously for an hour at 3am be illegal.

would standing in the middle of a room and using an angle grinder on a piece of metal at 3am be illegal.

indoors though.... its low frequency sounds travel most through buildings, its why you hear nightclub bass lines, high frequency will wake people up but not do much for neighbours.

Lots of people are in the type of business you describe. County sheriffs perform similar tasks when so ordered.

When it comes to private property though, the Gardaí and Courts are loathed to get involved in evictions either of tenants or illegal occupiers, because they are essentially a civil matter between parties. I do know of some extreme tactics that have been used to clear properties of illegal occupation and never challenged, for instance in Carnew about 10 years ago, a traveller occupation of what was either a sports field or community land was ended when some lad drove a slurry tanker in and sprayed the contents all over those present. That did work, but as it went unchallenged I'd say pretty much everything short of burning them out has been used.
