    Cosmos. A Spacetime Odyssy.
Loving this at the moment. Bit theatrical but gets the imagination going for anyone interested in the solar system. Kids are loving it too.

I tried to watch it years ago when it first came out but I couldn't stop comparing it (unfavourably) to the original, which is a masterpiece imo. Think I only watched 2 episodes in the end. Might give it another go

    Magic for Humans.

Great tricks and a nice diversion to the avalanche of dramas.

Not even genuine illusions. Full of actors and camera tricks. It's terrible.

I think it's best watching that movie with no idea of what it's about.

I recall seeing Iron Man in Dundrum, somehow missing the media babble & trailers and thinking the film was about a man in the Iron Age.. Imagine my surprise when Robert Downey Jnr started bashing through walls etc.

What do ye find is the best way to view Netflix on PC? I found IE the best out of it, Firefox and Chrome but now it's having issues playing. Keeps going white.

Finished season two of Santa Clarita Diet. I've been watching it slowly as I love it so much. Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant (especially) are brilliant in it, so many great lines and the periphery characters are all good too. Season 3 coming next year. Oddly enough most of the earlier criticism of it was concerning the level of gore in it.

Thanks for the heads up on the detectorists.
Its a great show with some great laugh moments.

big time, I loved it. No sex, violence or convulated storylines which was nice for a change.

I'd highly recommend a Chromecast, well worth €40. You can use Chrome or the Netflix app on your phone but it streams directly through the Chromecast then, I've always found it very reliable and high quality

Chromecast and the phone app is the way to go. Best €40 you'll spend.

Woeful is harsh but its def not for everyone.

I was listening to a recent episode of No Such Thing as a Fish where they were discussing the Netflix algorithm and their efforts to improve its accuracy - the 'if you liked that, then you'll like this'.

Anyway, they specifically mentioned Napoleon Dynamite and said it's basically impossible to predict if someone will like or hate Napoleon Dynamite based on other stuff you like/dislike.

Yeah have a fire stick which I usually use. Was just thinking when too lazy to switch over to it from the PC.

On another note, I need to work on getting through my list. I'm sure others here have larger lists, and reading this thread isn't helping since I add more based on this thread.

Now if only they'd add the second Purge

Watched Extinction last night. I actually thought it was alright. The first half or so could have done with some work but I liked how the story turned out.

Been binging on La Casa de Papel this week, really enjoying it. It's a bit far-fetched and ridiculous in places but is a fun watch.

Watched the South Korean movie, The Wailing last night and its well worth a watch. It starts off a bit goofy at the beginning and I was wondering whether to stick with it but the suspense gets more and more intense as it goes on with you guessing right up to the end what is really going on. Kwak Do-won is fantastic in the central role as the police officer, Jong-goo, a loveable buffoon at the beginning of the movie who becomes more and more desperate as his daughter develops the mysterious disease that is affecting the village. Definitely recommended.

Think Louis CK will be one of Norm McDonald's guests.

Edit: scratch that he's not. Would have liked to have seen him.

finished it earlier this week, Its entertaining fluff, and i was left very conflicted on one character by the end of it, but yeah, theres worse ways to spend a few hours.

Watching season 2 of Ozark at the moment, still really enjoying it. - off topic, the architect who designed the house they're living in should be shot, the layout and lighting of it is a constant source of annoyance to me. its half in darkness all the time!

Is anyone else watching Atypical, just got around to starting season 2 yesterday. It really is one of the best Netflix original shows they have.

Didn't realise that was the live action Bleach movie that was added today. Though think reviews are pretty mixed.

Might check out Dragon Prince with the Last Airbender influence
