Desparate useless character altogether. they should have killed him off earlier this year during his breakdown. I don't know why he hangs around, he has nothing to keep him in town anymore.

    Except a job in RTE

I didn't see Sunday's episode yet, but no one commenting about a lot of stuff and Aoife back (with a gun in her purse  ) really shows how far down the toilet FC has gone, IMO anyway.

Cathal is back too and I think he tells Carol that Yates is blackmailing him to be an informant

When I came back from hols last year (end of Oct), I seriously considered giving up on FC - almost 12 months later, I'm still asking myself why  I didn't.  I keep waiting for it to get past this bad phase....but it's no longer a phase - it's just bad.  I want Aoife to go on a shooting spree!!!
I honestly think FC is taking a long walk on a short plank in my tv watching schedule......and I'm not the only one if the number of posters on here is anything to go by

The Kerri-Ann murder story is beyond ridiculous. It's deliberately sensationalist and extremely far fetched. She stabbed to death someone who might or might not have flirted with her husband.

Snarler Carol on fire there...she really threw her head into those snarls, God help the actress if she ever had to play anyone but a gangsters moll.

In fact is it just me or was everyone really overdoing the gestures tonight- first Sash with all her wild hand movements and emphasising words then Snarler, FC was even more amateur than usual. :D:D

Why Steve stays with her defies all reason, she's constantly horrible to him!

I know, all she does is drive away every man in her life with her constant giving out, demanding they be perfect, snarling abuse at them when shes full of drink and blowing hot and cold every 2 seconds, shes an absolute headwreck and its a pity Billy Meehan didn't kill her all those years ago!

Boy, the new Irish Garda Commissioner is eager to change things. Only his second day on the job and he has already decided to suspend Dreamboat Steve Keating.
But, obviously, the new Commissioner wishes to do things things his own way. Instead of ordering a Chief Superintendent to inform Keating of his suspension, that task is passed on to the rather dim Sergeant in a one- man Garda Station.
I'm just amazed that the local traffic warden wasn't given the task of passing on the decision to Steve.
No doubt about it, the new Commish is gonna make big changes round these parts.

And then there's the strange tale of Kerri-Ann. Here's a girl who, despite committing an, ahem, grievous murder with a cute little Lidl screwdriver, has never darkened the door of a courthouse, never faced a judge or jury, yet is awaiting a sentencing hearing. Not a trial, mind you, a sentencing hearing.
Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I always thought that you're entitled to a trial first before being sentenced to prison.
Of course, after seeing what happened to poor ould harmless Dermot, rotting away a jail cell without ever having the right to a free and fair trial, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.
it's obvious that Carrigstown has it's own laws and justice system that even the new man in charge will struggle to cope with.

She confessed so no trial - just sentencing

If it's murder she'd have to plead guilty in court then be remanded in custody for sentencing.

So sick of looking at Kerri-Ann with her perfect hair and makeup and wash board stomach. Who looks like that a couple of weeks after giving birth to a baby. She got over her post partum depression in about 24 hours. Now she’s trying to be a best friend to the mother of the girl she murdered. Last week she fed and changed Samantha in minutes. Maybe we should just call her Wonder Woman.

I was wondering this, why isn't she remanded in custody? Surely it can't be right that a confessed murderer is out and about waiting for sentencing? Would that ever happen in real life?

I recall Graham Dywer was held in custody pending his trial for 18 months. Kerry Anne is presumably pleading guilty, whereas Dywer maintened his innocence and still is.

I think it depends on how much of a risk they consider the person.
